    that it needed The Outcome The design process began with reshaping and enhancing the Get a Bigger Wagon logo Once this had been completed the design team could begin creating the new website design Although the team created a variety of concepts the chosen concept bridges that fine line of being child like to reflect the Get a Bigger Wagon story being professional to appeal to an adult audience The final concept also keeps in line with the themes of both books the 1950s It would be fair to say there is definitely a retro look about the Get a Bigger Wagon website An additional design feature for the new website was the implementation of responsive web design technology Knowing that the majority of website users now use their mobile devices to access the Internet including purchasing products such as Get a Bigger Wagon and Get an Even Bigger Wagon online via their smartphones and tablets it was beneficial to implement such a technology for the new website Upon completion of the design the next step was the development of the website The Get a Bigger Wagon website was built using a custom content management system developed specifically for this website Making sure the new system was easy to use to allow for the ease of updating content other new features that were developed and in some instances designed for the new Get a Bigger Wagon website include Blog the Get a Bigger Wagon blog is to feature stories about the girl Maureen as well as recipes and other tales and adventures from the past Users are able to sign up to the blog and are auto emailed blog posts when they are published an API was integrated to achieve this unique functionality Audio Samples users are able to listen

    website in terms of the design and its functionality in order to help with their expanding business The Outcome From these discussions it was decided that the Kinnaird Bagpipes and Reeds website would benefit from a complete redesign With new pipe band products being developed and thus added to the website all the time in its current state the navigation had become unfriendly for the user Therefore the first part of this project was to redesign the website s architecture to make the navigation of the website easier for their audience Once the architecture was decided upon the design team began creating the new look and feel of the website One of the frustrations of the website was the management of their content especially their product catalog With an expanding product line the Kinnairds needed a more efficient way of organizing and managing their website s content We opted to enhance their custom CMS in order to resolve this frustration Another user issue was the shopping cart In it s present condition it appeared outdated and not easy to use This was redesigned and improved to provide better functionality to the end user as well as making the processing of online orders efficient for the Kinnaird Bagpipes and Reeds website administrator 2013 Update Responsive Web Design With the ever increasing amount of Internet users using their mobile devices smartphones and tablets to access the World Wide Web the challenge being faced by many online businesses such as Kinnaird Bagpipes and Reeds is having a website that is easily accessible and viewable on a mobile device In order to service their clients efficiently when making an online purchase and to provide their audience with a great user experience we implemented responsive web design technology Now the Kinnaird Bagpipes and Reeds website

    confusing as the website featured both horizontal and vertical navigation And even though McKay Career Training are avid social media users you wouldn t have thought that by visiting their website no social media icons were present at all Taking all this into consideration along with some additional features that required designed and developed it was our job whilst working in collaboration with McKay s project team to redesign the site with a contemporary design and make it attractive to the end user their demographic The Outcome The start of this project began with the design of the homepage The designers provided the McKay project team a variety of concepts to choose from Once a concept had been chosen discussed revised and then finalized work began on creating the internal pages Again following the same pattern of discussions and revisions as was with the homepage the internal pages were finalized The development could then begin The McKay Career Training website has been built using a custom CMS and features includes the integration of their Facebook and Twitter along with Facebook and Twitter feeds present on the homepage and the development of a blog for McKay Career Training to post entertaining and engaging articles regarding their latest news and events Responsive Web Design Along with the new design of the McKay Career Training it has also been made responsive It was important for McKay Career Training to implement new technology with the website and responsive is the latest design trend being utilized now and the foreseeable future Now when their website users access the website using their mobile device smartphone or tablet the website will adjust itself itself to the screen size it is being viewed on Recent work Neechie Gear Brand new responsive website with Shopify CMS IRD Inc A

    was decided that a new website would be designed but be developed in a way so that it integrates with the Member Agencies login on the SARC website This is what we did The Outcome Even though the Caring Careers website is separate from main SARC website it was important that this new website retained the SARC brand Therefore the designers began the process of creating a variety of concepts using SARC s branding mainly the colours and the logo Once all the designs were approved which includes the homepage and all internal pages and prior to moving into development the designers created the responsive designs Keeping inline with the both the SARC and SARCAN Recycling websites the new Caring Careers website has been created using responsive design The mobile world that we live in coupled with the demand for making websites engaging easy to use and user friendly by having a website that adapts to the screen that it is being viewed on desktop tablet and smartphone checks all of those boxes Caring Careers has been built using a custom CMS This was proposed due to the specialist functionality that was required As previously mentioned the Caring Careers website although separate from the SARC website would need the ability to integrate with the Member Agencies on the SARC website Member Agencies can log into the secure SARC Members area using their username and password Once logged in the member has the ability to post jobs for their organization location These job posts are then automatically populated on the Caring Careers website Other features of the new Caring Careers website include The ability for website admin to edit the website content add testimonials etc Users can search for job posts using the internal search engine The integration of social media
