    we view websites online most notably responsive design it was time for an upgrade to their website The Outcome The key element to this redesign project was the responsive design aspect We live in a world where people want to do everything whilst on the go So by having a website that is engaging easy to use and user friendly on your mobile device you re providing your audience with a great user experience Sask Innovation Week realized the potential of what a responsive design could do for their website and their users They are after all celebrating innovation And I m sure most of use web heads will agree that responsive design is one of the best innovations in web design Along with the implementation of the responsive design additional updates to the design and custom CMS were required An update to their sponsors page redesigned to better present logos and sponsor info Video gallery section was updated with the ability to highlight selected videos on the homepage An overall design update for better incorporation of their logo A news page was added to display recent articles Integration of their Twitter feed featured on the website Sask Innovation Week

    new website easily accessible on mobile devices The development of a members only area The Outcome The design which includes a rotating homepage banner adheres to TCU Place s main objective equalling promoting the Sid Buckwold Theatre on the left and the Convention Centre on the right As a user when you visit the new website you are instantly drawn to these areas of the homepage where you have the option to click on either and find out more information regarding events The website was developed with a custom CMS so website admin can easily update the website by accessing the secure and password protected backend along with the development of the following customized modules An events calendar to promote up and coming shows for each venue with the ability to import dates and titles from their event management software A module to provide detailed information on their Convention Centre s facilities and services A photo gallery to display their hundreds of images of their Theatre and Convention Centre along with shows events concerts etc The integration of social media Accessibility for visual and hearing impaired users Search engine optimization to help raise awareness and drive targeted traffic to their website The design and development of a customized blog and A customized module for users to win tickets A new component developed for the website was the member s area It was important that the new website was developed with this functionality TCU Place really wanted a private member s area as a way to create an online community amongst all their employees and board members When a user signs in they have access to member only information along with a discussion forum Finally a mobile website was developed for TCU Place With the majority of their users accessing the

    was not providing their members with the ease of use that they desperately craved In it s existing form members were unable to register renew their membership online nor did they have any membership privileges such as a Member s Area and as a membership organization this is what their members not only wanted but expected The Outcome 2 WEB DESIGN created a more visual website without losing any of the recognizable character that had made the website known amongst its members Using the existing branding the site now features an improved navigation along with The development of a custom CMS taking into consideration their requirements and needs A secure and encrypted online membership payment system developed and customized for the site so new and existing members can pay for and or renew their membership directly through the website A Member s Area that only members can access by logging into the website Once logged in they are able to view information only pertaining to them and add edit their own information The ability for website admin to export the membership database The creation of a custom events calendar which is managed by their admin in the CMS Facebook feeds were integrated with the website A custom Blog was designed and developed for the website 2013 Update Responsive Web Design What was essential to the redesign of the website was making it easy and efficient for their members However even though the new website is continuing to do this Women Entrepreneur s also realize that in this modern world the majority of Internet users which is 80 go online using their mobile devices To continue providing their members the best user experience we recently implemented responsive web design technology Women Entrepreneur s members can now view the website easily on

  • Consumer Choice Award
    Project Meeting with the President of Consumer Choice Award Marcel Sbrollini to understand the requirements for the redesign it was easy to see his frustrations The last redesign of the Consumer Choice Award website occurred in 2011 which isn t that long ago but this design had quickly become very outdated and was in need of a redesign The Outcome The design team began working on the design of the Consumer Choice Award website by first of all creating a variety of homepage concepts which were presented to the Consumer Choice Award team After some discussion amongst both project teams ours and theirs a concept was chosen The design team made some revisions to the chosen homepage concept and then designed and finalized the internal pages Now that the design work was complete the development team took over Prior to beginning this project and which is common for all our projects we discussed what CMS Content Management System would be used for the new Consumer Choice Award It was decided that the new website would be built using Drupal 7 an open source CMS The development team configured this system with the following popular modules Authcache and Boost to improve page load performance Advanced Poll for users to vote on given choices Additional functionality that was customized and configured for the Consumer Choice Award website includes The ability for users to view a list of winners by Province City Industry and Category The integration of a search engine so users can search for winners by specific keywords or phrases Rotating banner images that can be edited in the CMS The ability to view for users to view the content in English or French Integration of social media links to Facebook and YouTube Recent work Neechie Gear Brand new responsive website
