    5 months ago I started gradually on 16 October until my shop arrived with almond milk bouillon and low sugar products I ve lost in total 8 lbs but had been doing sober October so may have lost some weight before that from drinking less I m doing a relaxed version of phase 1 I ve had 2 cava binges but generally try sticking to standard protein amounts some fat and 20 22g carbs I try to drink spirits but no more than twice a week I m tracking on my fitness pal I get a bit confused about net carbs in veg but I m sticking to the list and generally eat as much as I fancy of lower carb veg This I believe is better for the health of my gut as I am not eating yoghurt or bran I ve recently bought milled linseed and tried a low carb bread substitute which is great to reintroduce marmite which I have missed I m hoping to stick with this till Christmas and beyond but really miss red wine Not really missing cakes made a low carb version twice Also now using atkins bars as snacks 1 Posts Send PM Augusta Reply 115 1 month 3 weeks ago I started on February 6 2016 and have lost 12 pounds so far I continued with Induction past the two week minimum period as I have 80 pounds to lose and felt that I needed the extra time to kick start the fat melting process I must say before starting Atkins I didn t really realize how many foods that I assumed would be healthy contained carbs and sugars Reading nutritional labels is essential I have also found that each meal involves more planning than it used to to ensure I am using ingredients that are low carb no carb I have purchased the Atkins Day Break bars and the Atkins chocolate shake both of which were extremely satisfying I found that these products were a welcome change to having eggs for breakfast some mornings All in all it has been a great lifestyle change and I am going to continue to stick with it 580 Posts Send PM Lee Reply 116 1 month 3 weeks ago Good decision to stick with phase 1 if you have that much to loose It will help you reach your goal that much sooner and isn t really a whole lot different from phase 2 11 Posts Send PM Marion Reply 117 1 month 1 week ago Is there a way to calculate the right percentage carb protein quickly Now i have to look up every bite i eat Saw there was some app to download but i guess thats only working if you have a smartphone I only have a desktop pc 1 2 11 12 Our specialists Linda Nutritionist Colette Nutritionist New Atkins is based on years of scientific research and backed by medical experts Meet our Science team and Nutritionist and
