    11 months 3 weeks ago Congrats Victoria Also it s always encouraging to read posts where people have been on holiday and slipped a bit but that it s recoverable Great post 36 Posts Send PM Victoria Reply 16 11 months 1 week ago Thank you for your comments hope this does give inspiration to others x 180 Posts Send PM Lindsey Reply 17 11 months 1 week ago Congrats Victoria love the forum check in daily very motivating thank you every one x 36 Posts Send PM Victoria Reply 18 9 months ago Latest update Hope everyone is well and on track I am still motivated and well into phase 4 and although I am not nearly as strict as I was in the first three phases I am still careful about my carb intake I have found that if I stay away from obvious sugar I can manage my weight I used to be a chocaholic and have sugar in tea etc but I gave those up in January I save any treats for the weekends which start Friday evening and finish Sunday evening During the week my meals consist of whatever I want with only one obvious carb per day for example I am not a breakfast person so I skip it sorry I know that is bad I may have some cherry tomatoes at about 11am Lunch is usually a couple of slices of meat or some tuna with salad Evening is a family meal if we have pasta I swap the pasta for courgette spaghetti with the meat sauce but do not have bread If I have a takeaway e g curry I will either have bread or rice with curry not both Tonight I had a homemade aubergine and chickpea ragu made from those with onions garlic parsley coriander paprika and cumin and a roti bread It was filling and enjoyable My weight loss is slow now but I only really wanted to get to 147lbs phase 4 is really maintenance but I still manage to lose I am now 142lbs and happily in size 10 My outlook has completely changed and I feel I am in this diet as a way of life I really don t feel deprived and really enjoy food If you are just starting out list the foods you can have rather than think of what you can t eat from that list I know people on diets that can t have bacon or lovely buttery scrambled eggs or strawberries and cream I can I still thank Atkins nearly every day OUT LOUD May brave a photo soon Good luck to you all xxx 31 Posts Send PM Denise Reply 19 9 months ago Thank you for posting really encouraging I to love this way of eating and find this forum a definite must I don t participate much but I have to say I love to hear the successes I am on phase 1 which is very enjoyable
