    the low side and carbs to under 20 Sounds scary but it all becomes clear as you work your way through the book It s still along the lines of Atkins although some of the advice is slightly conflicting in comparison but it certainly works Don t worry too much about calories because if you are following a keto diet and you are fully keto adapted then the fat will satisfy before you overload on too much food you just won t want it Listen to your body and I bet those few pesky pounds will disappear within a week Hope you get the results you crave soon 1 256 Posts Send PM Alex Reply 23 5 months 2 weeks ago Hi Angela Thanks for your thoughts and tips very helpful We ve just come back from a long weekend away with friends whichever was always in my mind as a potential speed bump in my weight maintenance road as although I don t drink like they do the food that is on the communial menu is not of the Atkins parish shall we say I didn t do too bad but won t be weighing myself for a while It s my birthday in 3 weeks and then obviously Christmas is 3 4 more My attitude now is that I enjoyed my weekend away I will enjoy my birthday probably largely with boundaries and will go back to week one style eating for the other days and weeks between now and Christmas All the products are going fizzy drinks down to a bare minimum and back to eating tonnes of veg and counting every carb like I used to I m convinced that will work I am not weighing myself now until the day before my birthday and so will hope to have a nice early present when I step on then I know it works I know I can do it and I know it s no hardship so that is my approach for now Thanks a gain Alex 224 Posts Send PM Angela Reply 24 5 months 2 weeks ago Good for you Alex the biggest obstacle anyone has to face is not being in control and from what you ve said it s obvious you are completely Glad you enjoyed your weekend sounds like you handled it perfectly and your plan heading towards Christmas and your forthcoming birthday sound perfect Enjoy your celebrations and here s to keeping on track Very best wishes for your birthday when it arrives take care 1 256 Posts Send PM Alex Reply 25 4 months 4 weeks ago Well I ve done the strict induction I was planning Not a single cheat under 20 carbs each day mountains of veg no products It s my birthday meal on Saturday and tomorrow is a bit mad so I ve weighed today Not lost a single lb and still for pounds above my goal weight I have just about given up trying
