  • Life will always get in the way... | Atkins diet - Atkins™ Low Carb Diet
a very much induction lifestyle and eat like it I very rarely go off plan but like you say manage it when I do to limit any negative effects As you say everyone is different but a normal life is very much possible but it comes with all the normal challenges 162 Posts Send PM jenny Reply 4 8 months 3 weeks ago I am trying to work out my best strategy at the moment having successfully maintained for 6 months then let a stressful 3 month period get the better of me and seen my weight just creep up This is going to be quite a big challenge for me and I will learn whether I have the willpower to get back to where I was or whether I am going to sabotage my total weight loss I know how to do it and what to eat and what to avoid but when my head is not in the game it is pretty difficult I hope I will be able to post pretty soon that I am very much back on track Interestingly I haven t been on the scales for quite some time where I previously used to weigh daily maybe it s time to get back to the scales just to see if this can help steer me in the right direction I know the scales won t get me down at the moment as I have my tight size 12 s to remind me 49 Posts Send PM Christine Reply 5 8 months 3 weeks ago I was weighing daily but a few days ago put the scales in the boot of the car so I m not doing that obsessive must weigh as soon as i get out of bed thing I m going to get them out every Monday from now on 162 Posts Send PM jenny Reply 6 8 months 3 weeks ago I agree Christine about the obsessive must weigh but I feel I need my old friend the scales on a daily basis at the moment to halt the increasing gain and then will go weekly like you think my problem is that I haven t been on them at all didn t want to face the truth 13 983 Posts Send PM Ellen Reply 7 8 months 3 weeks ago I agree with jenny here It is an obsession but for some of us not weighing is also a burying of the head in the sand and pretending the the weight is not creeping up You have to be ready to ditch the scales and that means you have to be comfortably in control comfortably because it needs to feel easy to stay within the rules even if at times it isn t The only proviso to this is if the scales dictate your mood on a day to day basis It is a matter of being honest with yourself I really know when I have overdone it that day
