    2001 2002 Season 1999 2000 Season 1989 1990 Radio About Schedule Listen Live Contact Us Contact Women s Team face tricky Kirkop by Ayrton Galea 8th December 2015 Birkirkara FC Women s Team will be all out to extend their winning streak in the BOV Women s First Division League this afternoon but their task is anything than plain sailing as they will face the tricky test in form of Kirkop United FC The Stripes have turned the heat in the last five weeks as they stepped up their level and undoubtedly are currently playing the best football on the island They have won all their five last matches and registered high scoring victories in their last four outings In fact the Stripes scored no less than nineteen goals in their last four matches and conceded just two During this eye catching winning streak the Stripes have defeated Raiders with a narrow 2 1 score before registering four consecutive big victories against Kirkop United with a 5 0 score Mgarr United with a 5 1 score and Pemberoke Athleta with a 4 0 score In the last match the Stripes produced another devastating attacking display that tormented Raiders with a 5 1 score With the Stripes beating Kirkop United with a comfortable score in the first round match one would predict that today s match will be another walk in the park but Kirkop s recent outings certainly prove otherwise They picked up seven points in their last four outings only to get their unbeaten run of three matches coming to an end with a 3 0 defeat against Hibernians However Kirkop s performance stole the lime light as their aggressive approach and bold defensive skills sent a clear statement of the team s potential The match will be played

    winning ways by Ayrton Galea 8th December 2015 2 Birkirkara FC Girls U16 League Gharghur Grounds 06 12 2015 10 00 Show all matches 0 Mosta FC Birkirkara FC Girls Under 16 s Team returned to winning ways on Sunday morning when thanks to a very satisfactory display they defeated Mosta with a 2 0 score thanks to a goal each by Mariah Sciberras and Sarah Urpani The Stripes were faced with another difficult test in form of Mosta FC who were still unbeaten after the first five matches However the Stripes under the guidance of Coach Ms Kelly Pace and assisted by Mr Malcolm Lee Attard showed great character and produced a terrific performance to bring to an end their opponents unbeaten run and return to winning ways Following a goal less balanced first half the Stripes surged ahead after two minutes in the second half It was a gem of a goal by Captain Mariah Sciberras who scored from a direct long distance free kick and put the Stripes ahead The Stripes boosted by the opening goal doubled their lead on the thirty third minute Samantha Zarb who enjoyed a wonderful performance was put through in an ideal

    Live Contact Us Contact Stripes to face Rainbows in difficult test by Ayrton Galea 2nd December 2015 Birkirkara FC will be all out to get back to winning ways and keep the pace with leaders Valletta FC when this evening they will take on in form Tarxien Rainbows FC The Stripes looked on track to start the second round of the BOV Premier League with a victory as they were leading comfortably with a 2 0 score against Naxxar Lions who also had one player sent off but a late two goal comeback stunned the Stripes to take only one point from the match Despite Birkirkara have extended their unbeaten streak to nine matches they will be all out today to heave a sigh of relief as they got only one win from their last four outings and only two points from their last two outings They are currently in fourth place of the league five points behind Valletta three behind Balzan and two behind Hibernians after both Valletta and Balzan registered comfortable victories in yesterday s matches The Stripes are sharing their spot with Floriana who will take on Hibernians this evening in a direct clash On the other hand Tarxien Rainbows are one of the surprising packages in this year s league campaign They are just one point under the Stripes and they are currently the best defence in the league conceding just eleven goals in twelve matches Following the 3 1 defeat to Valletta Tarxien have registered five positive results as they have won out of their last five outings They only dropped two points in the goal less draw against Mosta before returning to winning ways with a narrow 3 2 victory over Sliema Wanderers in their last match Both Coaches will be unable to field

    1999 2000 Season 1989 1990 Radio About Schedule Listen Live Contact Us Contact Women s Team to face Raiders in tricky test by Ayrton Galea 1st December 2015 Birkirkara FC Women s Team will be back in action this evening following a break for the National Team commitments when they face Raiders FC The Stripes are going through a positive patch in the BOV Women s First Division League as they have taken maximum points from their last four outings They are currently occupying the second place in just three points under leaders Hibernians while they have opened a seven point lead over Mgarr United and Kirkop United respectively with the latter having played a game more Birkirkara s 2 1 victory against Raiders set the wheels in motion for three outstanding victories that saw them scoring fourteen goals and conceding just one They won over Mgarr United with a 5 1 score against Kirkop United with a 5 0 score and then against Pembroke Athleta with a 4 0 score in their last outing On the other hand Raiders are in the fifth position laying just two points over bottom placed Pembroke Athleta They have three points from three draws following the first six matches Following back to back draws against Pembroke Athleta and Kirkop United respectively their satisfactory performance in their last match still saw them walking out empty handed as they lost with a 4 1 score against Hibernians Despite their slow start there are no doubts about the squad s potential and the 1 1 draw against Mgarr United was an indication of the team s strength this season and therefore this evening s match is rated as a tricky task for the Stripes who will be seeking to extend their winning streak to five matches

    Stickland joins Birkirkara FC by Ayrton Galea 30th November 2015 Birkirkara FC continued to strengthen their Women s Team when just a few moments ago English striker Melissa Stickland joined our Club The Stripes are going through a brilliant phase in the league as they have taken maximum points from their last four outings and they will be seeking to increase their strength up front with the signing of Stickland With Danish striker Heidi Kjaer leaving our Club to return to her homeland to continue her studies the Club was quick to fill the gap with the signing of the English striker Melissa is a twenty third year old forward who last played for Mansfield Road and Oxford Brookes University The signing of Stickland will mean that she will be joining her former team mate Catherine Campbell The foreign duo composed the attacking department at Oxford Brookes and their brilliant combination led to a number of important goals We talked with Melissa moments after signing with our Club and she told us I joined the club because I wanted a new challenge and experience of playing football abroad with such a well respected team and with the opportunity of playing
