  • Is this weird? Anybody else do this…? - A Discussion About Bipolar | bpHope - bp Magazine Community
of my writing or drawing changes I reflect on things a lot too and I also keep a journal every day I kinda obsess over my journals I reread them and notice things I didn t notice before I find this kind of reflection on myself helpful Does anybody else do this February 12 2016 at 8 15 pm 148045 whatwasthequestion 2 2 Participant Hello hay p 98 and Welcome I think what you wrote is anything But weird I think it is an excellent way of being able to keep track of your moods feelings expressions and emotions something we all should be doing for our betterment Adding that your writing is poetry is so creative as are the sketches only shows me you are really On Top Of Things before they may happen and so creative in your thinking I like that idea that you sketch how or what you feel it will show a darkness happiness etc that is right there for you to see such as your writings Keeping track of them with dates is very important too I wish I could remember dates like that Going over your journals to look for any inconsistencies or fluxes in mood can be so helpful to your doctor but mainly Yourself as you would quickly pick up any changes that you may need to report or work on for yourself If you mean that being obsessive about your journaling and rereading them to be detrimental I would think that if it isn t the only thing that you spend your time with If we are to become more healthy in regard to our illnesses keeping great records of how you approach them and keep up with them could only be to your advantage I would say to not be too hard on yourself and if it is working well there is your answer Thanks for giving some ideas to me too Blessings Sheryl February 12 2016 at 9 04 pm 148053 polarmouse Participant Hi hay p 98 Glad your here Like Sheryl and yourself I also keep a notebook to keep track of my moods symptoms etc and always suggest this to anyone newly diagnosed It s also a good tool to take to your appointments as reference to talk to your doctor I m also a sketcher especially when I don t feel like writing much I doodle emotions weather etc and add a few words Thanks for sharing PM February 13 2016 at 5 29 pm 148132 wonderwoman Participant Hey hay p 98 Not strange at all or we re all strange together lol it certainly is funny when you read something old and compare it to something new it makes me realise how far I have come It is a little sad at times as well because the girl I use to be went through so much with so little support hey ho I made it to better times Keep up the writing and sketching
