    WILL NOT BE RETRIEVABLE Please protect your private key If it is lost there is nothing that can be done to retrieve the data Your customers credit card data will be safe as long as the private key is in your care To retrieve orders with public key encrypted credit card numbers you will need to use the same machine and browser that you used to generate the keys If you setup the keys Cart32 will launch an object that will be used to generate the keys save the private key to you hard drive and save the public key on the server Internet Explorer 4 with 128 bit encryption and above is required for this to work Here are the steps that Cart32 takes in generating the key pair for use in the cart Navigate to the File Advanced tab of the cart administration Click the link that states Regenerate Public Private Encryption Keys A prompt will display Regenerating the public private keys will make your current credit data unreadable Are you sure you want to regenerate the public private keys click OK You will be taken to a screen with information about Public Private key encryption Please read the message and click on the button that says Click Here to Continue With Key Generation Please read the message on this screen and click Next Enter the first pass phrase must be at least 7 characters long with at least one number and one letter and click Next Enter the second pass phrase same character requirements however it must be different and click Next Please wait for the keys to be generated it may take a few minutes You will see a confirmation message declaring that the keys were successfully generated Click on the button that says Click Here

    tab inside your Cart32 administration This address will also appear on the thank you page after a customer makes an order Note To Clients Using Drop Shipping If you use drop shipping you need to make sure the originating address is the address of your wholesaler s business The product will ship from there not from your business address As of this writing Dec 2008 there is no way to specify a separate originating address for your shipping types but we are working on this for the future Specifying Your Destination Address The destination address for a shipping quote is based on the information the customer puts into his her shipping fields during checkout Normally this is okay but there are times when customers mess something up like entering state abbreviations incorrectly For this reason we have created an article called Tightening Your Shipping Configuration Please refer to that article for more information Creating The Shipping Type In Your Cart Now that we ve set up our products with weights and got our originating address in place we re ready to create our shipping types for the customers to choose from In the following example we will create a shipping type using USPS There are a lot of options on shipping types but most are self explanatory so I will leave reading them to you Here is how we would set up our example Log into your Cart32 Administration Navigate to the Cart Settings Shipping Types tab In the field labeled Name specify a name for the shipping type It can be called anything you like In our example it will be USPS Express After entering your shipping type name click the Add Shipping Type button When the page reloads click the link labeled Edit next to our newly created shipping type We need to specify when this shipping type will show up To do that we modify the Area Settings This allows us to choose which field the customer fills out to compare against For example we can make our shipping type only show up if the Shipping Country is Equal To a list of countries Here are the three parts we ll change Change the dropdown labeled Area Settings to Shipping Country Leave the dropdown for comparison set to Equal To Fill out the last field with a semi colon separated list of countries text values you want to have this show up for In our example we ll put US USA United States since we only ship to the US Mark the radio button for By US Postal Service Select Express Mail from the dropdown list Click Save Testing Our New Shipping Type To test the shipping type you simply add an item to your cart and begin the checkout process On the last page right before you click Confirm Order you will see your shipping options If you ve set the shipping type up correctly you ll see the option available on that page with a

    Support Resources Support Options About Us Company History Blog Partners Contact Form Setting Sales Tax Based on State Cart32 can calculate tax in a number of ways Tax for a single state is the most common To setup tax for a single state follow these steps Login to the Cart32 admin Click on the Cart Settings Tab and then the Tax sub tab Under Tax Type Use Tax Grid Only should be checked by default If not check it Under Tax Grid set Base Tax On to State Base Tax On Value to the state name and Tax Rate to the tax in decimal format For example Base Tax On Value TX and Tax Rate 0825 Tax code will be blank and Tax Shipping is optional if you need to tax the shipping amount in addition to the order amount Note The Base Tax On Value field will need to match what the customer might enter for their billing state If you are not using a state drop down list it is recommended you enter all possible variations of how the customer may enter the state name each on their own row of the Tax Grid For example TX Texas

    create the script Configuration There are a few steps that need to take place in order to configure the Cart32 web administration to run the script These are Under the Enterprise tab make sure the Use Run External CGI checkbox is checked to invoke the script during checkout You have two options of what to set for the HTTP HTML form method these are POST or GET After this you will need to actually specify at what URL the server side script or CGI application is running at Under the CGI Parameters you will need to configure what Cart32 will pass to the script or executable Include order items in CGI values will allow Cart32 to pass the individual items from the order to the script in the form of numbered parameters e g Price1 qty2 etc The next section will allow for the setup of the order parameters themselves For example if you want to include the order date in the script you could use a parameter name of ordate Then from the dropdown on the right select the Order Date value Click Add Parameter and it will be added to a list of parameters that need to be passed when the script is called NOTE The values in the dropdown will be filled by Cart32 before being passed to your script These are just placeholders to allow for the setup inside Cart32 Under the Output Information section this will allow Cart32 to save the information returned from the script to a file on the server Write CGI Output To A File will allow Cart32 to save the output to a file from the script after execution NOTE The script will not actually open another browser to show output nor will it show HTML or formatting Cart32 simply invokes

    gift cards to your site or even show customer appreciation for those long time returning customers It is really easy to set these up within your cart To turn Gift Certificates on you will need to log in to your web administration and go to Cart Settings Gift Certificates tab There you will see a radio button option that states Accept Gift Certificates Simply check that to Yes and you will be ready to start adding creating new gift certificates for your customers Also on this page you will notice different customization texts you can change If you make any changes to this be sure to click the save link up in the right hand corner of the web admin Towards the bottom of the customization texts you will see radio buttons next to Calculation Here you will choose whether or not the gift certificate will apply to the overall total including shipping and tax or if it will just apply to the sub total leaving the customer using the gift certificate to pay for the tax and shipping To add a gift certificate simply click the link that states Add Gift Certificate This will bring up a pop up box where you will make the actual gift certificate Here you will see three options Checkbox to Auto generate gift certificate code Checking this will produce a unique number for use as the gift certificate s code Custom Gift Certificate Code If you checked the box above then this field will automatically be populated with a unique number If you want to create your own code then you will enter it here Amount This text box is for the dollar amount that the gift certificate will be worth Once you have the information filled in then you will click Add
