    About Us Hours of Operation Annual Report Positions on Welfare Join our Team Contact Contact Media Feedback Online Complaint Form Join our Team Get Involved DONATE ADOPT CALL ANIMAL SHELTER CALL ANIMAL CONTROL Education Department Assembly Hall Education Department The CCSPCA Education Department is the Animal Center s direct educational outlet to the community both on and off CCSPCA property This department focuses on the importance of spay and neuter with an emphasis on the impact of pet overpopulation in the Central Valley Additional programs include humane education animal law awareness and dog bite prevention Listed below are the different programs and services we offer Presentations Assemblies All Dogs Can Bite The dog safety presentation is a quick reference to learning how to remain cool calm and collected when loose dogs approach us In the process of learning how to be safe around dogs attendees also learn how to be kind to animals Good Citizen Pets Raising awareness about proper pet care and owner responsibilities involved with owning a pet is the key to becoming a humane community It is in our best interest and the animals welfare understanding what rights animals have and what responsibilities pet owners have Special Classes Special classes will be offered on different animal related subjects open to the public throughout the year Currently there are Free Dog Training Classes every Wednesday 6 00PM 7 30PM and a Pet Loss Support Group offered the last Wednesday evening of every month Tours The tour provides an onsite presentation of the Central California SPCA organization by elaborating on its beginnings on forth to its present times This organization has grown and saved thousands of animals throughout the years due to continual preventative programs The CCSPCA prevents animal cruelty and neglect by means of outreach adoptions rescue and low cost animal services offered to the public Event Booths We can set up booths at any particular event to provide educational material and or take a few of our adoptable animals to place into permanent homes Volunteering We provide an adult 18yrs volunteer program An application orientation interview and training process must be completed in order to begin working on a volunteer basis at our Animal Center and or with the animals We re always seeking volunteer Foster Parents Service Projects Minors 17 years of age or younger can volunteer at our Animal Center through this program We also offer Service Day Projects for interest groups organizations that need or want to volunteer i e Girl Boy Scouts company employees clubs church groups etc All these educational services offered by the Central California SPCA are FREE Visits Presentations can be accommodated onsite or offsite but must be scheduled These services can also be given to a variety of groups schools private public organizations clubs or held for special meetings in English or Spanish How You Can Help Become a member of the CCSPCA and receive our quarterly Playmate magazine Protect your pets for life microchip license ID tag spay

    Department Spay Neuter Services Stray Animal Building Gift Store Vaccination Clinic Volunteer Department With a variety of cats and dogs available we are certain our staff can help you to make the perfect match for your family Every animal that you adopt from our animal center is spayed or neutered microchipped licensed with the first set of vaccines and a free health exam LEARN MORE The CCSPCA is contracted with Fresno City to conduct animal control services and rabies control enforcement The CCSPCA accepts stray dogs cats and other animals found within the City of Fresno limits only LEARN MORE We re here to support you through the tough decisions you make throughout your animal s life We understand the difficult decision and emotional process that you may encounter to say goodbye to your loved one LEARN MORE In the City of Fresno all dogs over the age of 4 months must be licensed A dog license is valid from the date of the rabies vaccine for a period of 12 months You may obtain 3 year licenses in advance For your convenience you may license your dog by visiting our Adoption Center without an appointment LEARN MORE The CCSPCA Education Department is the Animal Center s direct educational outlet to the community both on and off CCSPCA property This department focuses on the importance of spay and neuter with an emphasis on the impact of pet overpopulation in the Central Valley LEARN MORE Foster parents provide temporary care for our animals in their own homes until they are ready for adoption and to be placed in their permanent home Some animals need as little as two weeks of care while others may need care for several months LEARN MORE The CCSPCA Free Dog Training Program for Pet Retention is flexible pet oriented and family friendly The CCSPCA Training Class is designed to help you fit pet training into your life Our format allows you to go at your own pace We encourage full participation by all animal handling family members LEARN MORE The highly skilled CCSPCA Small Animal Hospital veterinary team provides a full range of services for dogs cats and other pets already living in homes as well as for the animals at our Animal Center LEARN MORE We offer full service grooming salon care to the public for both dogs and cats We offer shampoos flea treatment haircuts nail trimming and ear cleaning We are located directly next door to the CCSPCA Ruthelaine s Gift Store and are open from 8 00 AM 4 00 PM Tuesday Saturday LEARN MORE The CCSPCA Adoption Center offers low cost microchipping every Wednesday from 10 00 AM 6 00 PM for only 15 at our Animal Center Please watch for special events where we will also have low cost microchip clinics Microchipping is available daily through the CCSPCA Animal Hospital by appointment LEARN MORE This page is dedicated exclusively to those animals in need of transfer to a Pet Placement
