    they may appear within review lists Credit Land com has not reviewed all available credit card offers in the marketplace E mail you the news Enter your e mail address Enter your name Enter symbols from picture marked fields are required to be filled Credit Card Applications News Other Women Owned Businesses Growing Women Owned Businesses Growing By Dar Dowling April 19 2016 Share it Tweet Add to Favorites Email you Tags American Express Business Growth Women April 19 Businesses owned by women in the U S are growing faster than other businesses according to a new study by American Express OPEN In fact they have grown at five times the national rate over the last nine years They have also achieved a post recession high while the amount of businesses owned and run by women of color have doubled The sixth annual State of Women Owned Businesses Report commissioned by American Express OPEN looked at data generated from 2007 to 2016 by the U S Census Bureau along with the Gross Domestic Product data They found that women owned firms increased by 42 and women began 1 072 new businesses every day We are pleased to see the continued rise of the vital role that women owned businesses play in our country s post recession recovery said Susan Sobbott president of American Express Global Commercial Payments We are inspired by these women who are continuing to pursue their entrepreneurial passions and are strengthening our communities and economy even further Outpacing the pack Women are also bringing in the cash and doing their part to keep people working with 11 3 million businesses making 1 6 trillion and employing just about nine million people The data showed that they have increased their growth by 18 in the last nine years while in general hiring is down among all businesses by 1 What about making money Revenue is up 35 a significant increase when looking at all businesses which clocked in with 27 growth And there s more When you do the math you find that 38 of businesses in the U S are owned by women up 6 from 2007 Wondering what states are showing the most growth When looking at the state by state numbers the top states for women owned business are California Texas Florida New York Georgia And the top cities are New York City Los Angeles Miami Chicago Atlanta More firms owned by women of color When they looked at just women owned firms they found that businesses led or owned by women of color are experiencing the most growth having increased by 126 Women of color own five million businesses and they now make up half of all women owned establishments They too bring in the cash earning a whopping 344 billion a year and employing two million people nationwide Share it Tweet Add to Favorites Email you Related News New Business Card from Amex By Dar Dowling Posted February 02 2016 American Express OPEN

    card offers in the marketplace E mail you the news Enter your e mail address Enter your name Enter symbols from picture marked fields are required to be filled Credit Card Applications News Other A Snapshot on Consumer Spending from Chase A Snapshot on Consumer Spending from Chase By Dar Dowling April 8 2016 Share it Tweet Add to Favorites Email you Tags Consumer Growth JPMorgan Chase Shopping April 8 Shopkeepers may already know this but consumer spending was up last year according to a new study by JPMorgan Chase finding that local day to day spending was up 2 3 in December 2015 This is good news considering the study also found that for most of 2015 there had been a spending downturn Even with this good news some cities like Atlanta did better than others including Houston What s interesting about the JPMorgan Chase Local Consumer Commerce Index LCCI is that they use actual credit and debit card spending to generate results reviewing 14 billion anonymized accounts For this report they focused on 15 cities across the U S including Atlanta Chicago Columbus Dallas Denver Detroit Houston Miami Los Angeles New York Phoenix Portland San Diego San Francisco and Seattle All the cities showed an upswing in growth for the first time since January 2015 with growth occurring across the boards Along with this trend small businesses did well too contributing 1 7 percentage points of the 2 3 of growth at the end of the year Were there any other bright spots Yes lower income consumers and young consumers added 40 of the overall growth in December Atlanta hits a growth spurt While all the cities in the study saw an upswing in spending Atlanta showed the most growth with 5 1 year over year growth This was a real turnaround for the city which had experienced declining growth and low growth rates throughout 2014 But Houston had a problem It experienced the slowest growth going up just 0 3 a surprising downturn given the fact that it had the highest growth rate in 2014 However small businesses had the fastest growth rate in the Detroit metro area experiencing a 9 2 year over growth On the other hand large businesses showed the best growth in Portland with a 14 growth spurt The LCCI includes data gleaned credit and debit cards rather than relying on people self reporting their spending habits The study also captures data in the retail and services sectors which includes everything from food trucks and new businesses to personal services They also look at different aspects of consumers including consumer age and income business size and product type and location Share it Tweet Add to Favorites Email you Related News Home Buyers Looking for the Next Best Thing By Dar Dowling Posted April 07 2016 Technology has had a profound impact on home buying trends according to a new study by Chase finding that three out of four people aren t planning to
