Science Foundation said and there are many unsettled questions about hypnosis and about para normal activities There does not seem to be any specific need at present for the assistance you have offered This is par for the course really Winston Churchill was extremely open minded about these matters and when during WW2 a dowser presented him with a list of that night s locations of all British submarines sent it on to the First Lord of the Admiralty with a demand for an immediate answer There was a fearful fuss because about 80 of the locations were correct some of the submarines were actually in dock and the dowser had not allowed for this The Admirality was split between genuine interest and disbelief paradoxically mixed with extreme fear of the accuracy Nevertheless Churchill had the pull to get the dowser onto a minesweeper during exercises and he consistently tracked the two subs being hunted As soon as WC lost interest the dowser heard nothing more His 60 or so U boat reports proved after the war to have been around 90 correct but there was a high staff turnover in the Admiralty and the thread of interest was lost It was inconceivable to most high ranking naval officers not having personal experience of it that such things were possible Much the same thing is happening in oil companies though there the complication is that two thirds of the expenditure goes on highly paid geologists who once exposed to the potentials mysteriously lose all interest in furthering research into dowsing Oil companies public ridicule is not all camouflage Dan Wilson Date Tue 28 Apr 1998 07 06 19 EDT From USPsiSquad USPsiSquad aol com Subject Re VWR RV and personal aptitude data shifts bias You mean sort of like the blind committee surveying the elephant lol Actually I have found that most female viewers are more accurate with the people and or personalities and colors while most of the males tie into the structural and or factual complexities and tech details I have to say most because although my own results lean much closer to the structural and factual components in teaching long term students I have seen the differences only too often not to notice them There are slopovers however in all categories so it is hard to say that all gizors are green so to speak Bevy J example In one recent case where the target was one dismembered foot it was instantly apparent to me that it was a female foot Since this type of identification is usually only made by a pathologist and may be difficult to pin down it seemed no problem for myself as a rv er unless there s polish on the nails of course Comments Moderator s Note Yeah I m inclined to comment Good grief What a bizarre and rather gross target PJ Date Mon 27 Apr 1998 12 44 37 EDT From Curran2106 Curran2106 aol com Subject Re VWR Innate

life nor has there been in the lives and work of those I have trained and worked with over these many years The only time such problems arise is if IMHO there is something wrong with the training methods the guidance provided by the instructor or from activities outside of and beyond the normal practice of psi or remote viewing For a good many years our group was known as the Psychic Rescue Squad until we got too many calls to get cats out of trees or find missing hunters and many of us were are knowledgeable about a great many areas of psi that were known as para psychic and which included entities voices apparitions influences etc It is not my intention to imply that either I myself or members of my group at that time or today are infallible super mentors or in any other way better than anyone else We continue like all of you to research and to study However There should never be some vulnerability to entities forces or other disturbing or invasive voices feelings etc which occurs to people learning to use their natural psi abilities In fact programs such as the USSR training programs I learned under and those provided at SRI were originally designed to completely obviate any slight aspect of such outside of normal occurrence There is also a natural built in protection which unless possibly deliberately forsaken by some non natural occult practice will and does protect each of us If it were not so then the many fine researchers into the normal usages of psi and my own groupas well would have encountered such things Each of us in any walk of life has vagrant thoughts most of them coming directly from the subconscious and usually negative which could be taken to be voices Some of us even refer to them as that small voice However most of us have learned I would hope to recognize them for what they are and and to ignore them The known factors of negativity of the human subconscious are well documented by many psychologists beginning with Sigmund Freud These differ naturally from the kind of voices heard by the psychotic although their source may be the same Shamanism Having studied this at length and having worked with a good many authorities including Dr Laile Bartlett Ph D author of PSI TREK and Dr Jeffrey Goodman author of a good many authoritative books on Psychic Archaeology Earthquake Prediction Human Evolution and Shamanism I know that there are many types and kinds of Shamanism Not all of these involve any type of drug or conciousness alteration by artificial means In fact the most effective of these do not involve such aids Most if not all of them are tied to some framework of religion or religious practice It is also true that a trained effective Remote Viewer is actually practicing one of the highest forms of shamanistic accomplishment without however the religious framework Also

The kind of thing I am always trying to avoid having associated with RV In several recent posts both Liam and Gene have indicated that spirits are in fact part of their lives Bitter experience persuaded me that at least one of these spirits is no friend to man One night near the end of my senior year in high school I drank a fifth of Three Feathers all by myself Need I say more This is how we learn Tom Moderator s Note Oh spirits You mean THOSE kinda spirits I mean the haunting kind PJ Date Mon 27 Apr 1998 09 45 51 0500 From Craig Hogan rchogan ilstu edu Subject Re VWR AOLs in CRV To All PJ wrote list 17 AOLs in each stage of your session fine but in that case you d just better be RIGHT I feel a little presumptious in making statements when I m new to RV sit down and be quiet grasshopper So I will ask rather than tell Doesn t it seem that any AOL will contaminate the psi signal because it contributes to noise The mind is impressionistic It will fill in gaps with suppositions based upon a person s field of experience If I m riding down the road and see a black object in the distance with a raised narrower portion I may say That s a big dog in that field If I stop and don t get closer I will populate that impression with fur eyes ears legs until I have made it into a dog That is almost against my will as a human I must categorize and interpret data based on a recognizable whole If I didn t I d have to reassemble and reinterpret everything in my field of vision which would slow my perception and action to zero Then if I resume my travel I will come closer and see there are no ears or eyes or fur Laughingly I might say That s just a rock and populate that impression with feelings of hardness smooth surface weight history geology and so forth But as I get closer I can see it s a garbage bag someone threw out of a car I was wrong on all counts but each time I had an AOL I populated the object with all sorts of impressions which would have led to other impressions if I hadn t corrected them From my limited experience I believe we need to accept the psi signals and when an AOL intrudes step back and quiet our minds One of my positions was teaching medical faculty how to teach I had to help them teach students not to settle on a diagnosis too quickly because that would result in mistaken diagnoses The students would stop looking for alternatives The quick diagnosis would color contaminate their view of test data The same is true here I believe from what I ve seen of RV that AOLs have no

Re VWR AOLs in CRV 1 If it is a visual it is AOL Why I ve had visuals towards the end of a session that were accurate Any thoughts Thanks Ralph Moderator s Note Hi Ralph As I think I mentioned in another post tonight AOL merely signifies a notation that a piece of data is outside the planned structure of CRV and may have a higher probability of being affected by the Viewer s internal processing It doesn t mean the data HAS been affected or that it is inaccurate It is just a structural observation PJ Date Mon 27 Apr 1998 01 34 08 0400 From Thomas E Carey tomcarey mindspring com Subject Re VWR Silva on RV At 07 07 PM 4 25 98 0100 PJ wrote Moderator s Note You re dangerously close to invoking politics on the list with this message Mary Eschewing politics here as required I only note that some of the money the government puts into non ordinary intelligence activities might be well spent in efforts to study the eventual consequences of political decisions under consideration Tom Carey Consciousness is a singular of which the plural is unknown Erwin Schrodinger Moderator s Note Hi Tom It s been awhile my friend Actually I think that s a great idea they certainly should As for politics I am referring to the politics of what I call the methods wars in the RV training field or as I think Rick once dubbed the media aspect of things The Great RV Space Opera Not literal politics of the gov t If you can tie that to RV it s a valid topic PJ Date Mon 27 Apr 1998 01 25 53 0000 From John Krimes aaaaa ptdprolog net Subject Re VWR VWR AOLs in ERV From Liam ERV is better for certain sites and CRV is better for certain sites The ideal is for the operations officer to have the ability to work each target using both styles of RV What sites do you prefer to use what and why John Date Mon 27 Apr 1998 01 31 37 0000 From John Krimes aaaaa ptdprolog net Subject Re VWR AOLs in CRV From Skye Turell Exactly If someone wants to operate without discipline if they want to believe the session is absolutely correct from the first perception to the last then they d darn well better be somewhere above World Class I personally don t know any people like that that are human Then are you saying that one must learn to desipher correct visuals from incorrct visuals pluse open to the other five senses Are there AOLs in the other five senses John Moderator s Note Geez John for a minute even I was confused But this is a good question because it reveals some underlying assumptions about what AOL is that may be causing some confusion 1 There is data Any kind of data Who really knows where it comes from Swann

viewer to go to the target usually by reading the coordinates aloud and then would talk the viewer through whatever intel questions needed to be answered At the end of the session the viewer would be coaxed back to body and mind awake state and if appropriate would be further debriefed on what he she remembered Sketches might also be executed at this point That s ALL there was to it as far as format was concerned It did require a great deal of experience and skill on the part of the monitor to avoid inadvertant cuing AOL generation etc And though Joe doesn t seem to use this style of RV anymore he did indeed use it extensively while at Ft Meade I know this because a I observed and or listened in on a number of operational sessions he did this way in 1983 84 and b at the direction of the boss I listened to and in some cases re transcribed a number of tapes of other such sessions Joe did previously Now as I said Joe has apparently gone beyond this style but he did indeed spend a lot of his operational RVing time flat on his back in a dark room on the verge of sleep talking like he had a mouthful of mush Ask Skip Atwater I borrowed the mush remark from HIS description back then of how Joe worked I should emphasize here that Joe wasn t the only viewer to use this approach near as I can tell and further data from those that were there then could prove me wrong on this it was more or less standard for the other viewers during that time as well At the time Joe was at the unit this process wasn t called ERV There was no other name than RV because there really was only this process with perhaps a few individual variations from it It therefore didn t need a name until CRV came along CRVers didn t become operational until after Joe had left the unit At that point it became necessary to differentiate the two so ERV was coined for the more altered state approach We viewers were never quite sure what Extended referred to Most of us decided it just meant we were extended out on the bed that s a joke Liam Also no one is quite sure who coined the term Skip says he doesn t remember using it I myself am now pretty sure it was the unit s division chief at one point Fern G But it may even have been our good buddy Liam At any rate this term was coined AT the Ft Meade unit WHILE I was there and after Joe had left Most all of the viewers at Ft Meade at least tried ERV so we all have some experience in it I myself may have done a dozen or so such sessions They were not my favorite type of viewing since as I ve said before elsewhere it ruined a perfectly definitions of the alphabet soup 20 I haven t seen a definition of AOL but I know it is not a popular bulletin board system It seems to be assigning an identity from the viewer s memory to the disparate psi signals the viewer has received to make a whole out of all of the parts a natural human inclination I ve discovered why that is a problem now and am learning to avoid it It results in superimposing signals from one source over signals from another source They clash and since the psi signal has so much more noise associated with it the memory signal predominates From what I ve seen it seems appropriate to use the same terminology signal for both because even though the memory signal so much stronger both come from a source and must be interpreted based on the data that come through Both can be contaminated by suggestion and conflicting signals 20 Here s the learning experience I had I did one of the RVs on the skeptics page and found out later that I was right on with most of my impressions a long stretching thing light colored a tall massive thing in the back light colored top with light blue white across on left some things sticking up on right the same and

I think the process is just as difficult going the other way when the conscious tries to communicate with the SC I have been doing RV for awhile and as a result I have gotten to know my SC pretty well I think my SC is arrogant but not without a sense of humor My SC thinks I am untalented dense and insensitive and wonders what it did in a previous life to make Creator tie it to me in this one Example I was having difficulty de coding a site The site was an oddly shaped man made structure constructed of natural material After taking the coordinates again and again and again I had managed to thoroughly frustrate myself and my SC Finally I got a spontaneous ideogram which was the exact shape of the site Then my SC drew a right angle directly over the ideogram I heard this tiny frustrated voice in the back of my mind saying There even a dumb thick headed Mick like you ought to be able to figure that out As to where the information comes from the answer is simple It comes from magic That works for me every morning I get up put on a tie and go to work I do not think how I tie the tie One morning I thought I would try and make the knot a little neater I tried to figure out how I had been tying my tie all these years Well I wore a turtleneck to work that day You asked about spooks I assume you mean ghosties and ghoulies and not the kind of spooks who wear ties or turtlenecks and work for the government At the risk of offending some former colleagues and others I am going to guess that 95 percent of us get our information from the cosmic library in the ether relayed to us by our SC The other five percent work spook assisted This MUST be a deliberate choice on the part of the viewer You must ask the spirits for help or accept their help when it is offered IMO this is dangerous As any dumb Mick knows there are good spirits bad spirits and in between spirits And even good spirits may have their own agenda The little people are famous for telling the truth to people but telling it in such away that it is misinterpreted and results in mischievous results and just general bad luck I tend to be real careful in dealing with the spirit world Spirits are a lot like your unemployed brother in law Once you invite them in you can have the devil of a time getting them to leave If you do not believe in spirits then do not read what I just wrote slainte may the force be with you Liam Moderator s Note I am saving up you see these great ideas I am eventually going to open up something like PJ s Instant Expert
