  • Energy Conservation Program Available to Low-Income Penn Power Customers
    efficient and save money on their electric bills by enrolling in the WARM energy conservation program The WARM program is available to both homeowners and renters and includes an in home energy evaluation a specialized energy savings plan and energy saving items installed in a customer s home In addition depending on their electrical usage customers also could be eligible to receive energy saving home improvements including Attic and or wall insulation Caulking and weather stripping Refrigerator freezer testing and replacement Electric water heater inspection and saving measures Energy saving light bulbs Replacement of inefficient window unit air conditioners The WARM program is designed to help Penn Power income eligible customers make their homes more energy efficient said Dave Karafa FirstEnergy president of Pennsylvania Operations By taking advantage of some of the WARM program options these customers can be more comfortable in their homes and lower their electric bills at the same time The WARM program is free to customers who meet income guidelines To qualify a homeowner or renter must have a gross income before tax at or below 200 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines and use at least 600 kilowatt hours of electricity per month A single homeowner or renter s income should not exceed 23 340 annually to qualify For a family of four income should not exceed 47 700 annually Customers interested in Penn Power s WARM program are encouraged to contact the company at 1 800 207 9276 Or they can go online to www firstenergycorp com warmPennPower for more information Penn Power is a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp NYSE FE and serves more than 160 000 customers in all or parts of Allegheny Beaver Butler Crawford Lawrence and Mercer counties in western Pennsylvania Visit FirstEnergy on the web at www firstenergycorp com and
