    subject to immediate termination of stay Pets Unfortunately pets are NOT allowed Engines Engines must be inspected upon arrival and all faults reported immediately Under no circumstances should guests attempt to repair an engine themselves Modern engines have delicate electronic components and for instance even the running of an engine with a plug lead off can cause irreparable damage We have arrangements in place for repairs to engines Servicing The lodge is left clean and tidy in advance of the arrival of each party We expect to receive it back in brush clean condition Electricity Electricity is chargeable at the normal residential rate and is measured by meter reading at beginning and end of stay Cancellations All cancellations must be in writing Before January 1st Holiday may be canceled within 10 days of booking at no charge After 10 days the deposit will be forfeited After January 1st Cancellation with more than 48 days notice deposit and one half of all other monies paid shall be forfeit Cancellation with less than 48 days notice all monies paid shall be forfeit Guests should be able to claim under their holiday insurance However we shall endeavour to relet any canceled week and should we succeed we shall refund such monies as we recover in this manner less a 20 charge It should be noted that we would offer a late cancellation to a new guest at a late booking discount This is merely a goodwill act on our part and no guarantee is implied Cancellation by Captains Bay Captains Bay shall not cancel the booking unless a serious problem like a fire makes the lodge un usable In such case the total liability of Captains Bay shall not exceed refund of all monies paid plus 150 Euro If Captains Bay suceedes in sourcing suitable alternate accommodation his liability shall be reduced to refund of all monies paid Is the Lodge available before 4P M on the Saturday No we need time to prepare the lodge for your stay I am going to arrive late Please inform us in advance so that we will be at the lodge to meet you or that we will be able to make some other arrangement for you Extra charges Electricity is charged at the normal residential rate A meter reading is taken at the beginning and end of your stay You will receive a supply of fuel for the boat on arrival and you will be given the invoice for refilling the tank s before you leave We do reserve the right to charge a supplement if the Lodge is left in an exceptionally dirty condition All damage must be paid for Problems If the hirer should have a problem he should contact the housekeeper immediately and attempt to resolve the problem If after that he fees that the problem has not been resolved he should contact Captains Bay Unless this procedure is strictly observed we cannot entertain any claim arising out of complaints We can

    It is the most important coarse fishery in the area and is very good for roach hybrids bream and perch A large number of pike over 25 lbs 11kg have also been caught The southern end of the lake is best for fishing and here it is only about 6 ft 2 metres deep Boats may be hired locally but the lake also fishes very well from the southern shore
