  • vginette extraction: File count limitation
jensr on Thu Jan 20 2011 1 18 pm Hello all I am extracting vignettes into the unsroted vignettes and hit a problem with the number of files extracted into the folder I strongly suspect it is the formatting of a FAT32 hard drive that causes the limitations since the error occur in exactly the same spot every time 16 383 files in the folder I have checked the vignette where the process stops but it looks absolutely fine and there s nothing unusual about any of the measurements in the PID data The error message received is Code java io FileNotFoundException file location The directory or file cannot be created Has anyone else had this issue I m mainly wondering if you ve found a good sensible workflow or is it simply a matter of breaking up PID files from a single project into smaller chunks and saving them in individual folders jensr Posts 8 Join date 2008 09 26 Age 41 Location Marine Scotland Science Aberdeen UK Similar topics Similar topics count picture Sample UI Element file for google site user extensions js file is needed Anybody any idea abt how to select upload file in webdriver Trusted

  • How to avoid organisms with lipids from floating in the scanning tray
process Page 1 of 1 Share How to avoid organisms with lipids from floating in the scanning tray Carmen Garcia Comas on Thu Dec 16 2010 11 07 am Hi Today a colleague asked me about how preventing organisms from floating i e copepods with lipid reserves I have always had a few organisms floating and I just pushed them one by one with my cactus needle and that works well But what to do when you have your sample packed with hundreds of copepods floating in the surface I remember once I saw a researcher putting a very little amount of soap your needle covered with a thin layer of liquid soap in the tray once the sample was there Once diluted in the water the organisms were easier to sink But I would like to have any alternative tips How do you do it in your lab Cheers Carmen Carmen Garcia Comas Posts 3 Join date 2008 05 06 Similar topics Similar topics Avoid browser closing on selenium RC shutdown Adding A Floating Menu Need to know don t avoid anyone Temporary FireFox Profile using Selenium WebDriver My final migraine food trigger found tannins Zooscan Users Forum Zooprocess

  • Appendicularian biomass from images
a solution other than doing manual measurements of the trunk on the vignettes Thank you Sabine LAPS Posts 7 Join date 2008 05 06 Appendicularian biomass picheral on Sun Jun 27 2010 4 26 pm Hi Sabine I have no immediate answer nor solution to you request I can think adding new variables for the next Zooprocess version to be released soon I could add the measurements of the area minor and major of the organisms remaining surface at threshold that would eliminate the darker part of the body You would then have to calibrate the measurements comparing the results from the PID files with manual measurements on images using the dedicated tool in Zooprocess after having for identified the objects I cannot provide a date for the delivery of these new parametres Latest would be the end of August earlier next week if I can get time for that which is not easy Regards Marc P picheral Posts 60 Join date 2008 05 02 Appendicularian biomass from images LAPS on Mon Jul 05 2010 5 25 pm Bonjour Marc et merci pour ta réponse So for the time being we will keep to manual measurements for this group A

  • background subtraction variability
one disc in one case within one of these dark areas and perhaps no lines around some other discs also within the dark areas As a result it identified only 50 discs In other words it missed counting some of the discs in the dark areas A few hours later I repeated a scan of the discs replicate 4 I had not disturbed the sample inside the zooscan in the meantime and then processed this image in batch mode using the background image from the morning Replicate 4 had excellent background correction and correctly identified 54 discs even though the background image was separated from replicate 4 by 5 hours and from replicate 3 by 1 hour So the question is what happened during the processing of replicate 3 I did not touch the sample in the zooscan all day i e between replicates 1 and 4 I did not change any settings on any of the menus How can the background correction go wrong on only one of a series of replicate scans More to the point if this happens following overnight batch processing of an entire day s worth of zooplankton samples what can I do short of
