is the theme of one of the top selling games in history But after we raise and successfully avoid forgetting to feed our dog then what We should be able to pit them against other people s dogs in a Pokemon Stadium style showdown This is the kind of vicious awesomeness one gets simply by combining two games designed for small children 3 E T Superman 64 In video games two extreme wrongs can make a right The Atari 2600 game based upon the blockbuster film E T is so bad that forcing someone to play it violates the Geneva Conventions This is totally surprising seeing as how most video games based on movies are solid in depth works of art Just ask anyone who s played Superman 64 and by played we mean floated around and bumped into fuzzy buildings They ll punch you in the face then they ll fall to the ground sobbing and begging to be held One of the biggest problems with E T was the holes which took forever to exit Entire childhoods were spent trying to float out of one dang hole This could easily be remedied by combining E T with Superman 64 With superpowers E T could simply fly out of holes problem solved Plus you don t have to worry about the fuzzy graphics which soiled Superman 64 because the flying scenes will be shown in silhouette against a full moon These two games mesh like sodium and chlorine 4 Super Mario Bros 3 Fallout 3 We ve found a shocking amount of correlation between these two worlds Massive amounts of nuclear radiation in the Mushroom cloud Kingdom would explain the talking lizards aggressive giant turtles and radioactive flowers Mario could wander around this wasteland ducking into Fallout shelters whose

rather creepy interspecies crushes on Yumi and many will simply let her catch them without a fight Ape boner material right here Finally girl character MeeMee is clearly the best choice in Super Monkey Ball This is simply a fact and I challenge anyone who disagrees to a Monkey Target duel at dawn Dragon Quest Series The Dragon Quest games may seem to be charming kid friendly fun on the surface but the more you play them the more you start to realize Dragon Quest master Yuji Horii is a bit of a dirty old man He likes to play dress up with the female characters who in addition to their regular armor can usually be equipped with a fetish tastic array of corsets bunny ears fishnet stockings and chainmail thongs This equipment is not only um visually stimulating but it s also often the best armor available to you at any given time Guess which of these two has the higher defense stats hint It s not the one wearing pants The latest in the series Dragon Quest IX tries to even the playing field a bit but the way it s done is somewhat unorthodox Rather than give guys more exclusive equipment they simply let male characters don formerly female exclusive outfits like a frilly maid costume The brave face of Dragon Quest gender equality Mario Sports Games In most mainline Mario platformers women are little more MacGuffins in puffy dresses for Mario to collect which is odd since the ladies absolutely aren t afraid to dominate the Mushroom Kingdom s various friendly sporting events Female characters have always been some of the top tier racers in the Mario Kart series which makes sense considering Mario Kart is as much about causing destruction as it is about driving

like a sequel than the first true Portal game almost as if the game we all came to know and love was just a glorified tech demo There are a staggering number of new and wildly inventive gameplay mechanics on display here note to Valve we probably would have been happy with one or two from squirtable goos that can help you move faster or bounce higher to air vents that allow you to suck enemies in through your portals to lasers that can be redirected using special crystal cubes to you know what you re better off just watching these hilarious videos of the entire demo but continue on for some stuff you won t see Pretty cool huh What wasn t show publicly was the new co op mode which looks to be one of those types of experiences that ends marriages and drives wedges between old friends and we mean that in a good way There s actually a completely separate co op campaign with different puzzles that will intertwine with the single player story Best of all both the single player and multiplayer offerings will be upwards of six hours in length dwarfing the all too short original game We generally feel like longer isn t always better but we think you ll agree that this is one case in which we ll happily take as much as we can get Runners Up Dead Space 2 Epic Mickey Rock Band 3 PS3 Game of Show Heavy Rain Move Edition PS3 We can already hear everyone crying foul on this one but it s the honest truth The PlayStation Move enabled edition of Heavy Rain put on an impressive show and single handedly made us lust for the Move This peripheral addresses the creepy adventure s unwieldy controls transforming awkward bumbling into intuitive exploration Plus well Heavy Rain s also just a great game and as system exclusives go it s still far more captivating than the deluge of generic looking shooters and increment the number announcements that Sony and company unveiled during E3 Our only hope is that Heavy Rain isn t the only big game to get such royal treatment when it comes to the Move copycat or not the thing has a lot of potential The applications are what matter and this is a pretty impressive first step Runners Up Infamous 2 Killzone 3 Xbox 360 Game of Show Dance Central 360 Surprised Don t be While dance games have been around for years it took the genre defining smarts of the developers at Harmonix to finally make a dance game that made you feel like a dancer not just some guy flailing his feet sorry DDR fans The developer that made playing plastic instruments cooler than playing real ones at least for a little while is now offering us a chance to show what we can do on the dancefloor Hey we may not be Saturday Night Fever s Tony Manero but we
