    motivation retention product range and quality marketing business outlet development etc Entrants will submit written evidence with any relevant supporting and or photographic material Garden centre outlet of the year over 5m turnover Awarded to the garden centre outlet with a turnover of more than 5m that most impresses the judges The outlet will need to demonstrate excellence in one or more areas including for example profitability turnover growth customer satisfaction community awareness staff motivation product range and quality marketing and significant improvements in one or more aspects of the business Entrants will submit written evidence with any relevant supporting and or photographic material Multiple garden retailer of the year NEW Awarded to the multiple garden retailer that most impresses the judges The retailer will need to demonstrate excellence across its multiple outlets in one or more areas including for example profitability turnover growth customer satisfaction product range and quality community awareness staff motivation business outlet development marketing etc Entrants will submit written evidence with any relevant supporting and or photographic material Online excellence award NEW This award will be made for either The best one off online project eg the launch of a new web based service for customers by a physical or web based garden retailer or The best ongoing online service provision by a physical or web based garden retailer The retailer will need to demonstrate excellence in one or more areas including for example profitability turnover growth customer satisfaction product range and quality audience reach etc Entrants will submit written evidence with any relevant supporting material General Categories Commitment to staff development Awarded to the garden centre or multiple with the most outstanding commitment to staff development Entrants will submit written evidence with supporting material if available demonstrating How they are committed to training of the highest standard and How they have enabled staff students trainees apprentices to improve their knowledge and career development Community Involvement Award Awarded to the garden centre that shows the most commitment to getting involved in activities within its local community This may include running kids clubs older people s clubs gardening clubs charity fundraising or any other activity that shows the centre is at the heart of local life Entrants will provide written and photographic evidence including media coverage of how being committed to the community benefitted business and added to the garden centre s appeal The Awards winner will show how a garden centre is more than just a retailer that sells plants and garden good Greenest Garden Centre Awarded to the garden retail outlet that demonstrates the most outstanding commitment to the environment throughout its operations This could for example relate to peat use or energy or water conservation or any other environmental factor including waste management recycling composting etc Entrants will submit written evidence with supporting material if available Written evidence should describe how the entrant s policy was conceived executed and quantified in terms of success Garden Landscaping Categories NEW Garden centre landscape service of the
