    to represent close to 1 000 000 members in over 180 countries around the globe The Global Accounting Alliance is made up of 10 of the world s leading accounting institutes brought together to promote quality services share information and collaborate on important international issues Latest News The Global Accounting Allicance an alliance of leading professional accountancy bodies in significant capital markets has created the Global Audit Market Monitor an annual survey of which firms are auditing the world s 500 largest companies The monitor shows a regional breakdown by the four largest global audit firms and is intended to provide an objective analysis of the trends in movement of companies against these firms Data has been collated for the two financial years starting in 2011 and 2012 Work is currently underway to collect data for the financial year 2013 14 and will be available later in the year During the middle of 2014 all Member Bodies of the GAA conducted identical surveys of their members on Succession and Continuity Planning a critical process for most practitioners The survey was conducted by Harris Decima in Canada on behalf of the GAA and there were 4 547 respondents The results were
