    your holiday cottage fire and read the Sunday papers We always pop to local friendly newsagents Chapmans in Southwold or Baggotts in Aldeburgh Stroll or cycle down to Two Magpies Bakery Southwold for fresh giant croissants the almond ones are to die for and takeaway coffee Or sit in there for breakfast and read their magazines such as Kinfolk and Cereal all about Slow Living In Aldeburgh there is the fantastic Lawsons Deli that stocks sweet treats from Pump Street Bakery their sourdough bread is amazing and Eccles cakes are one of our favourites If you are feeling up to it then we can recommend a few short walks from Southwold to Walberswick along the river and over the Bayley Bridge There are plenty of pubs to stop off in for a cheeky beer by the log fire Some of our favourites are The Nelson and The Harbour Inn in Southwold and the sister pub The Bell in Walberswick or The Anchor For more energetic and adrenalin seeking visitors the Coastal Voyager Sea Blas t will blow the cobwebs away Southwold Golf Club is open to pay and play or a short drive away is Halesworth Golf and High Lodge at Hinton for clay pigeon shooting foot golf archery and fishing There is live music on Sunday afternoons from 3pm to 6pm at The Red Lion on Southwold Green Often it is the local jazz bands such as Sole Bay Jazz and Rhythmn and Reeds Don t forget that you are on holiday and it s time to relax and unwind why not pop in to Priya Spa at The Swan Hotel to book a facial or massage with Tanya or The Sanctuary just around the corner next to Serena Hall Gallery For the little ones there is Gulls and
