  • Miracles in the Sharing | Esperanza - Hope To Cope
quote for a moment Sharing creates a miracle in the Cycle of Reciprocity with the giver also becoming the receiver So let s think about what happens when you begin to share The more you share your mental health journey with others the greater you increase your comfort level with those disorders while also helping others change their perceptions The more often you share your fears the less fearful you become The more you share your self doubt the easier it is for others to help you reframe those thoughts The more you open up your feelings of shame and or guilt the more you will notice these two non productive emotions falling to the wayside There are so many positive effects to opening up and sharing yourself and your disorders with others So what will it take for you to take the plunge to share yourself with others You won t know how easy it is until you give it a try I can tell you this from experience not only do others respect and admire you more but they also learn in the process Fortunately you will be able to watch miracles unfold before your eyes Not only

  • Your “Second Life” Is Waiting for You | Esperanza - Hope To Cope
most importantly by me I was petrified to think I would be dealing with relapses of depression and anxiety throughout my life I found myself not only treated like a china doll by others but treating myself as one a fragile doll that would shatter from the ups and downs of life Fortunately after many years I woke up and realized that if I wanted to live and enjoy this life journey I would need to embrace my life Not only did I accept my disorders for what they were I challenged myself to live beyond the fears limitations and stigma and that is when real life began I was no longer ashamed or embarrassed with my four psychotic breaks four periods of suicidal ideation four hospitalizations and dozens of shock treatments Instead I viewed my past as just that my past I realized that if I was going to get the most out of the rest of life I would need to spend more time focused on mental wellness not mental illness My second life began with this shift of attitude and I never looked back By no means do I ignore that I live with a mental health
