    one thing that helps you when problems are overwhelming a listening ear of a caring friend Just being able to talk about your problem s without judgment or interruption lessens the anxiety and hold the problem may have on you What I ve noticed from listening to others or sharing my own burdens is the talking about an issue out loud allows you to see it differently especially if the other person continues to ask you questions thus allowing you to surface options you may never even considered It s such a comfort just knowing that someone else knows what you are going through This month many individuals challenged by mental health disorders find themselves with heavy burdens Unfortunately the holidays for many do not resemble the Hallmark Card version that you see and hear about everywhere you turn Estranged relationships financial woes and past hurts or disappointments are often the beasts that show up when the holidays roll in If you find yourself dreading the holidays or consumed with anxiety with each passing day in December reach out to a friend or family member Let them know how you are feeling share your thoughts and thank them for supporting
