    same datum used on the drawings to the nearest tenth of a foot with an accuracy of 0 1 foot A final as built survey was performed after all the work was complete including topsoil placement The survey was used to verify quantities and for the preparation of the as built drawings The submittal of field survey results included a copy of all field notes and electronic scaled drawings of all data including plotted cross sections This information was certified by the registered land surveyor in charge of the work Gleason Plant Site Topographical and Structural Survey Tennessee Valley Authority TVA Gleason Tennessee L I Smith Associates Inc was subcontracted by URS Energy Construction Inc to conduct surveying and topographic mapping activities in order to generate plan drawings which accurately showed the location and elevation for all existing and above ground features for the area of the proposed addition and upgrade of the plant s simple cycle units to combine cycle units L I Smith Associates Inc provided all items of labor material and the equipment necessary to establish survey control base line and elevations from existing benchmarks Horizontal and vertical ground control surveys were performed including establishment of semi permanent survey markers and benchmarks with monumentation Mechanical Surveys were provided for the location and elevations of three separate gas turbine units that included particular points specified by the contractor to survey the gas turbine stacks as well as the top center and bottom flange of the units A boundary survey was provided for the wooded wetlands with buffer zone and contours LIS A identified all existing utility features on the ground surface on the plan drawings and surveyed invert elevations and material of the underground pipes manholes and inlets as well as located any electrical utilities or conduits Topographic Data was accurately plotted with existing contour lines and spot elevations Existing contours were shown at 1 foot intervals while spot elevations were taken at a maximum of 50 feet spacing The undeveloped area grade measurements were taken within 0 1 foot accuracy Existing permanent features in the plant areas were within 0 01 foot accuracy LIS A furnished and installed one survey control monument L I Smith Associates provided the contractor with field survey notes sketches and drawings showing the results of all the field survey work and a final plan sheet drawing with all the features in accordance with the contract schedule requirements The deliverables included hard copies of the plan sheet drawings as well as the electronic files in Microstation format John Sevier Fossil Plant Rogersville Tennessee Tennessee Valley Authority TVA L I Smith Associates Inc was subcontracted by URS Energy Construction Inc to provide data for the planning and upgrading of an existing Haul Road and for an addition to the existing power plant for the Tennessee Valley Authority TVA The project consisted of merging existing planimetric and topographic files provided by TVA with new field survey data The new survey data was for the location
