And Karl a German soldier who is married to Emile s daughter These five are joined by an adorable dog who intersects with each of their stories and helps them on their path The game is mostly a puzzle game it has a point and click esque feeling to it but is controlled completely with the keyboard The games puzzles are different from each other to a certain level but are pretty easy and sometimes even repetitive mostly summed up to find a lever connect to a base flip lever repeat although it s important to state that there are some exceptions In some parts of the game you will find the occasional minigame These minigames spice the gameplay because they give you a break from the puzzling and the story and let you appreciate other aspects of the game A great example for that is the driving minigame In which you are driving a car and trying to dodge varying obstacles sometimes it s bombs from a German zeppelin or busy traffic ect but the catch is that the obstacles appear in sync with the music in a surprisingly funny way this entices the player to pay more attention to the incredible musical choices made by the developers throughout the game and helps the player appreciate more aspects of the game The minigames canget repetitive as well but are much more exciting than the regular puzzles and therefore are not boring even after the third or fourth time you have played a certain type The games story is heavily based on the events of the First World War and as you progress through the game you unlock pieces of trivia about it an addition that I found very interesting and nicely done because the game didn t make you read that information but it referred you to it and because of the games setting I am sure many people actually read the little history lesson and received some good to know knowledge and marvelous gameplay In conclusion Valiant hearts is one of the rare games that can truly make you feel and connect with the characters and share their feelings thoughts fears and hopes The art style and music are captivating and beautiful and allows the game to channel directly into your feelings but the puzzles and minigames can get repetitive and generally boring at a certain point The game might have worked better more as a film or a graphic novel even though it does incorporate a few comic strips unlocked as achievements throughout the game but the game sucks you in with the great atmosphere and the further you progress during the story you just can t help but overseeing its flaws I would recommend this game to all of my friends well those I didn t already recommend it to as I did enjoy the full experience and I will recommend it to anyone reading Share this Story Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Reddit Digg Delicious Google E

  • Sniper Elite III Review | Lucidlogix
game do make this franchise unique The first point of criticism I would like to discuss here deals with the plot or the lack of one Our sniper that for all intents and purposes can remain nameless traverses throughout the campaign a list of battle grounds alone As a commando behind enemy lines we know nothing of the names and places the game takes place in as a result we lose our chance to hear some of the most powerful stories modern times can tell us In the name of combat realism our ability to feel the totality of the Great War is diminished In the end the places we have been through are unmemorable Very little was needed to make this game a real gem My second point today will be the multitude of Bugs and technical issues that sometimes make the game too easy and sometimes will bring the player to load his last saved game I have seen soldiers who refused to die no matter how many times I killed them I have witnessed a corpse that remained standing yet bereft of life I was mobbed and lynched by enemy troops while in perfect hiding Why No idea Yet the worst Bug of them all is the ludicrous AI If the German and Italian troops had had this ridiculous level of intelligence no allied assault would have been necessary Unable to coordinate an attack and callous disregard to various unexplained deaths in their surroundings not to mention the fact that enemies forget about you if you manage to move thirty something meters in any direction Changing the difficulty setting did nothing to make the AI more reasonable For the last and most infuriating point I want to ask the publisher Have you no shame Do you really believe that charging fifty USD for an uncompleted game is in any way justified To sell DLC s with basic gear missing from the core game right from the release date is tantamount to spitting in your customers face Commercially this is a sin And it is nigh time that lawsuits should be filed so that customers will demand to receive their money s worth All in all Sniper Elite is not a bad game It is unique and shows impressive graphics as any AAA should have It is a fun game to play and has a very distinct experience that shows us a part of the war we tend to forget in our recollections Too bad it does not do it well enough to make it a memorable experience For all his Lone Ranger glory sometimes you can t show a monumental visage such as the world war with the limited scope of a gun barrel For the sniping and guns aficionados this game might be worth its price tag Otherwise wait for the price to go down or save your money for something better If you want to kill Nazis try Wolfenstein instead Yours truly The Accountant Share
