server and that table having multiple spatial indexes so I need to define which index used for this layer for this purpose this Index hint in the studio Is this right or any other way I can define the index that which index I want to use Thanks Tweet Responses 1 Likes Highest Vote Latest Oldest Accepted Answer By Russell de Grove Thursday June 17 2010 01 48 PM permalink 0 Do not use the index hint feature for spatial indexes If there are spatial indexes MapDotNet will determine which if any have bounds which contain the search shape the tile bounds for map rendering If any do MDN will insert a hint to use the one with the smallest area If you provide an index hint it will override this Only do this when you are using a layer where clause that references a column that is extremely selective to the point where using an index on that column will be more efficient than using a spatial index The reply is currently minimized Show Your Reply Please login to post a reply You will need to be logged in to be able to post a reply Login using the

you generate your maps somehow Review your process and figure out why the InitialExtents are set wrong If you have code that reads InitialExtents new Envelope and subsequent code should set the envelope values then that subsequent code didn t get hit for some reason or somehow set MinX MaxX or MinY MaxY The reply is currently minimized Show Accepted Answer Registered By Tushar Thursday July 01 2010 01 49 PM permalink 0 Hi Russell I did it so many times but still there is a problem but when I create new map and copy all the layer in that map then it is working I have other question as below i have one map on our old server named keller golf and it is working fine over there I have loaded keller golf on but some issues with the Greens Bunkers Tees Fairways and Water layers These 5 layers are not loaded on the new server First I have export Keller golf from the 170 server and import it on our new server but that time it is getting some errors and the map was not loaded I have tried and debug what is the problem then I found that there is an error in the mapextents Map extents could not get from the MDN service Then I delete that map and create new map for the same name then It will working fine but problem with above five layers I think there is a problem with the MDN service when I export and import that map on new server then it is creating a problem I have faced above problem in more then 3 maps some layers are loads and some layers are not if I delete all the layers and loads again then also above five layers
