  • Any way to create map "snapshot" using REST service - MapDotNet
on a certain center point and extents using the touchgeo REST service and then export that image to an Excel sheet I recognize that exporting the Bing maps background tiles is a separate issue based on this posting but it s possible we d like to have those too I ve tried using the call to the Image Extent path from an ajax call our javascript but it s just been throwing an error each time I m not really sure what format the data I m receiving back is in either though nor am I sure that this is the right REST path for what I m trying to accomplish Here is the function that I m calling var getImageByExtent function finishAction var r null var uri isc touchgeo mdnRestEndpoint Map isc touchgeo mapId Image Extent 108866757 4228060 108800000 4240000 256 PNG Format JSON wait isc touchgeo showProgress true ajax url uri timeout touchgeo asyncTimeoutMs dataType json success function record r record error function jqXhr textStatus isc touchgeo error getImageByExtent jqXhr responseText textStatus complete function isc touchgeo showProgress false finishAction r The textStatus error parameter says parsererror but the jqXhr responseText appears to contain binary data 1232 characters of it to be exact Any guidance ideas or suggestions you can provide would be much appreciated Chris Tweet Responses 1 Likes Highest Vote Latest Oldest Accepted Answer By Brian Hearn Friday August 16 2013 03 14 PM permalink 0 You may want to look at http isdkhtml5 mapdotnet com iSDK isc rim isdk compose htm view the source This allows you to use the HTML5 mapsJS control to compose an image for printing The reply is currently minimized Show Your Reply Please login to post a reply You will need to be logged in to be able to post a

  • How to limit map tiles being cached in RAM in WPF application - MapDotNet
cached in RAM or how long the tiles are cached We ve followed most of the suggestions in the Top Performance Tweaks article already Any suggestions you would have are much appreciated thanks Tweet Accepted Answer By Russell de Grove Monday October 05 2015 06 08 PM permalink 0 The MapModel class Map MapModel has properties that may be of use AutoRemoveUnreferencedPyramids can be set true if tile layer descriptors will be changed frequently to reduce the memory footprint of the application This does mean that when a previous descriptor is used again the tiles will have to be refreshed ResourceMaxEncodedQuadTileCountPerTilePyramid this sets the maximum number of encoded QuadTiles allowed for any given pyramid If the value is too small the system will have to re request tiles which may have already been loaded through an ITileRequestor If the value is too large and the number of tile layers is large then too much system memory may be used storing the encoded versions ResourceMaxDecodedQuadTileCountPerTilePyramid this sets the maximum number of decoded QuadTiles allowed for any given pyramid If the value is too small the system will spend a lot of CPU cycles decoding bitmaps for display from those stored encoded in the tile pyramids If the value is too large and the number of tile layers is large then too much system memory may be used storing the decoded versions Note that the decoded content a raw bitmap is often many times larger than encoded content PNG or other compressed image You can implement fully custom client side caching the following example caches in the file system rather than RAM it builds off of rather minimal WPF app used in the training we previously offered EXERCISE 28 IMPLEMENT CLIENT SIDE CACHING IN A RIM WPF APPLICATION In the Apps WPF folder copy the Exercise 6 WPF folder and name the copy Exercise 28 Cache WPF Open the folder and open the solution In Main xaml cs add using System IO to the using directives at the top of the file Add the following method definitions to the file void HandleQuadTileReadCacheEvent object sender QuadTileCacheEventArgs e string filename cache e QuadTile TileLayer PyramidKey e QuadTile Key tile try if File Exists filename e Content File ReadAllText filename catch e Content null void HandleQuadTileWriteCacheEvent object sender QuadTileCacheEventArgs e string folder cache e QuadTile TileLayer PyramidKey try if Directory Exists folder Directory CreateDirectory folder string file folder e QuadTile Key tile File WriteAllText file string e Content catch In the markup Main xaml find the MDNSMapTileRequestor within the MDNS tile layer rim TileLayer x Name MDNSTileLayer Key MDNSTileLayer Descriptor Exercise 4 SuspendLoadingDuringZoomAnimations True FadeInDuration 0 0 0 5 IsVisible True ExcludeFromBackdrop True rim TileLayer TileRequestor Requestors MDNSMapTileRequestor BleedRatio 1 2 rim TileLayer TileRequestor rim TileLayer Add assignments for these event handlers Requestors MDNSMapTileRequestor BleedRatio 1 2 QuadTileReadCacheEvent HandleQuadTileReadCacheEvent QuadTileWriteCacheEvent HandleQuadTileWriteCacheEvent Run the application Use right double clicks to zoom out several stops waiting for the tiles to load at each step Close and reopen

  • Bing Aerials showing white gridlines when docked in WPF application - MapDotNet
24 PM 0 We have seen this for as long as we ve been using a MapDotNet map in WPF but haven t tried to do anything about it yet When our map is docked in our WPF application using 9 1 dlls when we zoom in we see white gridlines across the entire map that come in and out as you pan the map When you undock the map and have it out as a separate window however these gridlines disappear We are using the Telerik RadDock to do the docking See the attached images for what both cases look like Is this something anyone else has ever seen Any ideas Thanks Chris Attachments MapGridlines jpg MapUndocked NoGridlines jpg Tweet Accepted Answer By Russell de Grove Monday October 05 2015 01 04 PM permalink 0 Is it possible that RadDock sets SnapsToDevicePixels to true The reply is currently minimized Show Responses 0 Likes Highest Vote Latest Oldest There are no replies here yet Your Reply Please login to post a reply You will need to be logged in to be able to post a reply Login using the form on the right or register an account if you are
