felt that such a museum was a natural extension to their ghost tours Everybody loves a ghost story and the museum brings these stories to life through a collection of artifacts photos and ghost hunting tools says Daniel He also describes strange goings on at the museum such as lights switching on by themselves odd noises and sightings of a little girl by visitors and staff For example during his visit one young boy had asked Who is that girl standing on the stairs when there appeared to be nothing there Another time an older woman said to the owners You know you have a ghost she s standing beside the piano Daniel also reports that Stephanie s mother a sensitive has heard the girl giggle and felt her hand So far the ghost s identity remains a mystery The Museum of the Paranormal in an old blacksmith s shop is definitely haunted Credit Donald L Combe Kyle Upton who organizes ghost tours for the Friends of Fort George reports that their most popular ghost is a barefoot blonde girl wearing a white chemise She was first spotted in 1994 in the soldiers barracks The most recent sighting was on Saturday October 1 2011 during a private tour for delegates of the St Catharines paranormal conference We can only guess who she is because ghosts don t bring resumes says Upton But her appearance and hairstyle could fit Sarah Ann Tracey who died in 1840 at age seven and is buried in St Mark s Cemetery Ghost tours The Museum of the Paranormal through Haunted Hamilton leads year round ghost tours of NOTL During October daily tours begin at 8 p m at the museum building at 118A Queen Street Book ahead or just show up 30 minutes early Adults
