  • Ovens National School - PA - Letter from Chairperson
    throughout the year also to act upon any concerns that a parent may wish us to act upon We then in turn pass these concerns on to our Principal Mr Denis Lynch Over the years the Parents Association has fundraised for items needed in the school such as computers for each classroom We also organise light refreshments on the morning of the First Communion for the children and the families in the school hall which is normally the responsibility of the parents of the first class children The Association also has the responsibility of organising the school tracksuits each year So far this term we have continued the Christmas Card Competition which again proved to be a very successful fundraiser This would not have been the success that it was but for the kind sponsorship which we received to help with the printing costs The standard of competition was very high and we thank every pupil who was involved In mid January we held a coin day which proved to be very lucrative for the Association The money raised went towards the cheese and wine reception which we in the Parents Association organised in conjunction with Marian O Callaghan for
