s ultimate goal is to inspire his students to go to college Among other things Guthrie told a wonderful anecdote about the subway ride over to the game mentioning that all of the children sang Hail to the Lion together The students also got the chance to make up the high five line that the players ran through before the game And as someone who was at the game I can tell you that no group in attendance were more vocal in their support of either team than these students were for Pat Chambers and co As for what s next Guthrie is thinking big or rather he s thinking B1G He plans on using some of the leftover money the CDT mentioned that he has more than 1 000 left over to try and organize a bus trip to Happy Valley Guthrie says that there is still more work to do on that front but if there s another GoFundMe dedicated to raising money we ll happily throw a few bucks his way Bill DiFilippo online editor Share this Email Print Facebook Twitter Pinterest Google LinkedIn Tumblr Like this Like Loading Related Entry filed under Athletics Tags Nittany Lions Penn State Basketball Garden Party Honors for Emily Burns Leave a Reply Cancel reply Enter your comment here Fill in your details below or click an icon to log in Email Address never made public Name Website You are commenting using your WordPress com account Log Out Change You are commenting using your Twitter account Log Out Change You are commenting using your Facebook account Log Out Change You are commenting using your Google account Log Out Change Cancel Connecting to s Notify me of new comments via email Trackback this post Subscribe to the comments via RSS Feed Recent

here be warned you may tear up a little With Leah finishing her last treatment last night I can really say my daughter BEAT CANCER Words can t describe how proud I am of this girl No matter how hard it got or how painful the treatments were and it was pretty bad a lot of the times she never gave up I want to thank everyone who followed us as I documented her fight on social media The amount of support we received was beyond amazing I can honestly say that you all made a big difference Every time we received bad news or felt like it was coming to a point were we couldn t fight anymore I would go to the comments you all wrote cheering us on and it would make us fight so much harder I ask that since Leah s fight is at the end that you follow other families journeys and cheer them on just as you did us My advice to any family going through this battle no matter how hard it gets no matter what the doctors tell you always remain positive Speak victory into existence Give your child s fight with cancer a purpose Use it to raise awareness so that you can help all kids fighting this disease No matter how big or small your platform following is you will reach that one family that just needs to know they re not alone in the fight so they don t give up drop to your knees everyday and pray I was never a big spiritual person but I always believed in God and knew who to turn to in the time of need Keeping faith that God will see you through doesn t make the battle easier but it makes winning possible It gives you back the hope that is stripped away from you every time you watch your kid endure the pain from the treatments and the bad news you often receive from the doctors LEAHSTRONG STILLSTRONG A photo posted by Devon Still man of still75 on Jan 12 2016 at 10 11am PST Bill DiFilippo online editor Share this Email Print Facebook Twitter Pinterest Google LinkedIn Tumblr Like this Like Loading January 12 2016 at 7 00 pm Leave a comment Happy Valley Goes Broadway It s not every day that you get to see Broadway performers do their thing outside of New York City Fortunately for those of us in Happy Valley we re going to get that chance on Jan 18 when the State Theatre hosts We Are On Broadway Penn State s College of Arts and Architecture is putting on the event It will feature four Nittany Lion alumni who perform all over the country along with musical theatre students and local middle and high school students The four alumni are Nathan Lucrezio 09 Laurie Veldheer 10 Alan Wiggins 10 and Caroline Bowman 10 we featured Wiggins and Bowman in our Sept Oct 15
