d use a filter to pop the contrast This is without filter I add a Red 25 filter meter and shoot Image is way underexposed say 4 times or two stops Check meter and am given the same reading Open up two stops for the filter factor and get this image Now I really wonder it is my understanding that the digital sensor makes a mathematical calibration of light that is not seeing light as film does Does the sensor not see the different colors The affect of the filter is very similar to use with film the bright orange poppy is lightened while the green in background is darkened Which is exactly what I wanted in this back light scene Something to think about and experiment more with Both images worked in PS but just to resize and burn dodge enjoy pjc Photographic Art Infrared Shewville Road Ledyard Ct Filed Under B W Fine Art Black and White Fine Art Creativity Diggie Digital and Film Flowers Olympia Wa Tagged With Black White Fine Art Photography Flowers Olympia Photographic Art Digital B W a Stroll in Tenino Wa May 21 2015 By Peter J Crowley 3 Comments May 19th a play day with Terry Liberty beautiful light in this old town and a great lunch at The Sandstone Cafe Terry looks for the next image while I abstract him in the window Parallel Parking off the main st Unseen visual adventures views in alleys and back streets life Images made digitally film soon pretty new to Digital B W but beginning to get some I like but contrast is lacking till I take them into PS Used to control contrast by film choice and filters now there is an app for that LOL enjoy pjc Photographic Art High Key Figure Filed Under Abstract Adventure B W Fine Art Beyond the surface Diggie Digital and Film Fine Art Layered Life Nikon Olympia Wa Passionate Observer Tagged With Abstraction Ambiance Blending the past and the present Humanity Olympia Photographic Art Real and Surreal Previous Page 1 2 3 4 5 19 Next Page Connect with me Peter J Crowley Linocut by Sarah Harford I am a Photographic Artist writer A passionate observer commenting on the human condition Blogroll Black and White Forum Cestandrea Paris Dream Time Crabbyolbastard Ruminates David Russell s Visual Art Fine Art Photographers Giclee Prints and Custom B W Paul Gandy Photography PhotoSynthesis S L Johnson Images The In Sight Photography Project The Manila Envelope Literary Art E Zine The New England Anomaly The Photo Connection of Colchester Web Design Streamlined Development Windham Week View my work on these sites Artbreak Artists Space Irving Sadler Artist File Creative Shake Model Mayhem Noenga Global Art Platform Photographers Direct Artist Portfolio Photographers Direct Stock Profotos Stock Photography Saatchi Gallery Blog Archives Blog Archives Select Month April 2016 1 March 2016 2 February 2016 7 January 2016 6 December 2015 8 November 2015 8 October 2015 8 September 2015 4 August 2015
