  • Sharpen your leadership skills: My Genesis Park: PwC
    Stage you ll attend the 7 day initial residential session which is the first of two programme residential sessions This stage focuses on forming relationships and building trust with your classmates the My GP Faculty your coaches and strategic project teams Aside from the initial residential session the majority of your learning during this stage is delivered through Spark Strategic project work begins at this stage as well as does coaching and developmental feedback The Stretch Stage the pinnacle of this crucible experience will see you on site at the second residential session of the programme This 4 5 week leg of your journey is where you ll deepen your relationships and trust become more aware of your leadership self and step out of your comfort zone through challenging experiences and activities You ll also be finalising your strategic project during this stage and presenting your recommendations to your project sponsors The final stage of the programme is the virtual Empower Stage Perhaps the most important stage of the programme it s during this stage where you ll take full ownership of your leadership transformation making it real for your teams clients profession and community This stage is where you ll also accelerate the application of the learnings from your strategic project bringing value to your home territory and LoS Strategic Projects Strategic Projects are a key learning experience at My GP Projects are commissioned by PwC s global regional or industry sector leaders and explore a variety of strategically significant issues which PwC needs to consider across the short medium and longer terms They relate directly to the strategy of PwC which means they re real projects with real Network impact and real relevance Strategic Projects are a catalyst to helping you develop as a leader and your ability to think big picture They help you lead and be part of a high performing team encourage you to form a point of view and to live and role model the PwC Experience When you return home to your territory and Business Unit you ll have the opportunity to share your learnings from the Strategic Project in the Empower stage and apply those elements that are relevant to your local strategic priorities Real time Coaching Real time coaching is an integral part of the My GP programme and is key to your personal transformation This coaching opportunity of a lifetime is distinctive and based on global best practises What this means for you is development coaching that is holistic strengths based business focused and grounded in accurate and timely feedback Whether formal and structured or informal and in the moment you ll receive coaching on an individual team and peer basis Specifically you ll receive coaching and feedback from A Partner Coach PC from your home practise who will help you build your Individual Development Plan IDP which you ll use as the foundation for your unique My GP development experience Following the programme your PC will help you execute

  • My Genesis Park: Frequently asked questions about leadership programme: PwC
    session takes place within the July August timeframe Exact dates for these sessions are communicated to participants each year upon being notified of their selection to the programme Where do the programme s residential sessions take place Each year My GP seeks to hold its two residential sessions in commercially relevant locations which espouse the culture of the area in a rich way As an example previous residential session locations have included Shanghai Amsterdam Cape Town Warsaw Singapore Toronto and Boston Exact locations for the programme s residential sessions are communicated to participants at the beginning of the programme typically in the January February timeframe Who pays for the programme What does it cost Programme participation fees are covered by your territory and include all of the necessary costs to attend eg curriculum diagnostics accommodation visa flights The exact cost is confidential and not publicised however it does represent a significant investment in your personal and professional development Who can attend My GP is designed for high performing high potential Sr Managers Directors For more information on the exact criteria please click here When does the application process begin Typically identification of potential candidates managed by in territory talent councils begins during the June July timeframe of the year prior to the programme run eg June July 2014 for the 2015 programme Final applications are due to My GP by the end of August beginning of September the year prior Selected candidates are notified in early November of the year prior If you re interested in My GP and are eligible to attend please contact your Territory Talent Leader or your local HR Representative for more information on your territory s nomination process Can I nominate myself for the programme There is no self nomination for the My GP programme Nominations are made at the territory level by Territory Talent Councils If you re interested in My GP and are eligible to attend please contact your Territory Talent Leader or your local HR Representative for more information on your territory s nomination process How many participants are selected Approximately 150 participants are selected to attend My GP each year The 150 are then divided into three classes ensuring diversity across cluster LoS and gender Are there any prerequisite Learning Development courses for My GP There are no required prerequisite courses for the programme You should however be relatively proficient in English if you re a non native speaker as the programme is delivered in English What do you mean by diagnostics Much of the programme s curriculum is centred around in depth assessment tools that consider among others your strengths effectiveness and skills as a leader and your behavioural preferences Can my family attend the 4 5 week main residential session with me Given the intense nature of the programme especially during the main residential session you ll attend as an individual so you can truly focus on your personal and professional transformation as a future global leader Further the
