Untitled 1 group that exists by default and that would be a sweet add on as well I love the new name field before I just put a commented out line Name of Query as the first line of all my saved favorites Now I don t have to Also it would be great if there was a little sign to the right of the Filter button in Content view Sometimes I d like to filter my results by a couple of fields but don t feel like writing a query Aaaaaand I m sure this has already been suggested but I d love tabs under the Content section so that I could look at more than two tables at once without having to open up new window At the moment if I need information from a related table I have a query in the query view and switch back and forth between that and the content tab Though I will say the inline editing and sorting in the query view has saved me a lot of time Sorry to be so long winded but I spend hours and hours in your program everyday and it s completely changed my workflow for the better Keep up the good work RowanB December 12th 2009 Brad Thanks for your comments A few quick responses Paging have you discovered that if you click on the pagination text ie the bit between the buttons you get a popup with jump to Not sure how to make this more obvious and maybe is the way to go Query avourites the Untitled 1 is actually per connection but I think this is only supported for spf connections so far Connection favourites will support this as well soon Graphical filter editing yeah There s now a filter editor Go to Edit filters at the bottom of the comparisons box for stuff you use often but a Finder iTunes like filter should be arriving soon as well Tabs slightly more long term Brad December 12th 2009 Thanks for the reply Rowan I had no idea I could click between the two arrows that helps a lot Stam December 15th 2009 I don t like the new icon It s not of Mac style it s more like Linux Jean Yves December 19th 2009 Hi It s really good to see progress carrying on Congratulations to the whole team I have some questions What news on the User Management functionality When do you envisage implementing the ability to edit views stored procs stored functions and triggers This in particular is the main issue for me I am having to jump back into Navicat whenever I want to do any serious development As I mentioned in my comment on the 0 9 6 post something like the view you have in the table info tab where it shows the create syntax Offer an option to edit which simply adds the DELIMITER and DROP PROCEDURE or whatever object statements at the

only we could get PostgreSQL support Fredrik Björk August 3rd 2009 Nice one All I need now is support for Public Key authentication for SSH and I can switch over completely to Sequel Pro Keep up the good work LK August 4th 2009 WOW This is coming along nicely The Relations command and Table info are very welcome additions NIce work While a nice app now I wish I had not paid for Meerkat you ve just added why I needed it abhibeckert August 4th 2009 J K PostgreSQL is high on our priority list but it s a big job and will take time More developers are always welcome especially ones familiar with PostgreSQL RowanB August 4th 2009 Fredrik public key authentication for SSH should be fully supported in this release it should draw location settings etc from your default shell If it s a password protected key that should be supported as well sharing keychain passwords with Terminal I say should because I m not sure I ve caught every configuration possibility but give it a shot JoshK August 5th 2009 Looking great so far One purely aesthetic item with the new table filter box When you have enough tables to make the list scroll the top of the scrollbar itself sort of dangles in space Could be solved with a thin line separating the filterbox the table list same as the one that separates the table list from table info Would give the top of the scrollbar something to anchor to Also when the window is inactive the filter box background color remains the same blueish gray color while the rest of the side bar changes to light gray Obviously not really a functional issue just looks odd to me Thanks for everything so far and looking forward to more updates Fredrik Björk August 5th 2009 RowanB Ah great didn t realize this However when i try to connect to the host that i ve configured in ssh config i get the following error debug1 Server accepts key pkalg ssh rsa blen 277 debug1 PEM read PrivateKey failed debug1 read PEM private key done type debug1 permanently drop suid 501 debug1 No more authentication methods to try read passphrase can t open dev tty Device not configured any idea how to solve this issue RowanB August 5th 2009 Fredrik interesting in my limited experience that suggests it found the key to try but the key is password protected is that correct Sequel Pro should have prompted you for the password to the key if that s the case but what might be causing the problem is that you only have the connection timeout period set in the prefs to enter the password as SSH appears to use a single timeout for everything If that was the problem I ll have to find some way to work around that Fredrik Björk August 7th 2009 RowanB the key is indeed password protected And Sequel Pro prompts me for the

Favorites redesign it s easier to understand now Doug May 1st 2009 Good job guys Love the new preferences this things is starting to look very polished chicken necks May 1st 2009 Awesome job Sequel Pro team This release feels really mature Sequel Pro is easily the most enjoyable mysql tool ive ever worked with AlanR May 1st 2009 Thank you so much for the Tiger version I was very disappointed when the latest beta release was 10 5 only Chris Rowe May 1st 2009 Great improvements so far Some really useful new features Am I missing something though There s now a Run All button in the Query area yet I can t seem to input more than one query are there supposed to be tabs or is this button here ready RowanB May 1st 2009 Chris Rowe The Run All button runs all the queries within the Query text area multiple queries can be separated with semicolons which is the standard SQL syntax eg SELECT one SELECT two This is separate from Run Current which runs only the query which the text selection caret is currently positioned in AlanR Unfortunately the Tiger version does require a considerable amount of effort and can t easily be kept up to date with the Leopard version especially with interface changes If there is substantial demand for it we ll attempt to though Suleiman May 2nd 2009 I was itching to try Sequel Pro after trying out Navicat for a while I was stopped in my tracks when the SSH tunnel option appeared greyed out Does anyone know how to get this working via SSH For some bizarre reason that is the only method of connection my remote server will allow Lisandro Grassini May 2nd 2009 Excellent job Excellent Application Love the improvements in the preferences look feel also the syntax coloring in the query window Perhaps auto completion in the future Congratulations leo May 4th 2009 Outstanding Thanks for your great jobs This is a great tool for mysql for mac os X Gregor May 5th 2009 Fantastic thanks for the bug fix and the favorites enhancement It s looking better and better each iteration Great work marc May 7th 2009 When can we expect full support of innoDB foreign keys it s a major feature of SQL and it s keeping me from using your app AlanR May 18th 2009 Does anyone know how to get this working via SSH For some bizarre reason that is the only method of connection my remote server will allow I ve been hoping someone would answer this question I d like SSH as well RowanB May 20th 2009 Suleiman AlanR SSH is not yet within the application the SSH interface elements are basically placeholders that have been migrated from CocoaMySQL The good news is that we plan to have SSH working in 0 9 6 I ve got the code just about running and it should hit the nightlies in a few days

UI Icons Syntax Highlighting Searching in the Console and Custom Query now has new text editor like features View the full release notes for 0 9 5 Posted in Release Candidates 6 Comments Kieran April 21st 2009 Very nice to see continuous development Still lacks some stuff like User Management GZIP BZIP imports exports and foreign key management but still a nice release Keep up the good work Gary W April 22nd 2009 Awesome work This app has incredible potential glad to see such impressive and steady work going on Would love to see a customizable shortcut for executing queries Marius van Witzenburg April 22nd 2009 Hello I must say the 0 9 4 version was the first one I tested I liked it but I found a problem then with giving my favorites a custom name Then I found this release candidate and bingo Thanks for building this in Thats really something I need with over 40 servers Donation will come your way as soon as its official released Greetings Marius Brad April 25th 2009 I love the new buttons in the interface Very Coda esc I especially like the duplicate icon very clever One thing that bugs me is that when I run a query it no longer selects all on the query automatically anymore When I m running down my list of Favorites I like to be able to run one then move to another select it have it replace the previous query and run it I use the Query Favorites to keep track of a lot of different tests running so I tend to just run one after another Now I have an extra step before I choose my next query to run I have to hit Cmd A Not really a big deal I guess

you find to the issue tracker Posted in Release Candidates 9 Comments JJBee March 6th 2009 Hi all May I use Sequel Pro 0 9 3 from Applications folder and 0 9 4 RCx from another folder say an Applications folder located in my Home folder w o any conflicts especially preferences file conflict TIA RowanB March 6th 2009 Hi JJBee The RC will use the same preference file which should be the only conflict Normally this wouldn t be an issue but using the versions side by side will have an issue 0 9 3 had a column width bug where tables with lots of columns squashed up the last columns and then saved those widths as custom widths to prefs 0 9 4 fixes the original bug and also cleans up your saved custom columns to fix squished columns but only once So if you re using them side by side and have tables which suffer from the column bug you ll no longer have the damage automatically fixed Other than that I don t think there s been any preference format changes Hope that helps kris March 7th 2009 I ve been waiting for quite some time for pagination Thanks kris March 7th 2009 Where are the actual pagination buttons RowanB March 8th 2009 kris they should appear next to the slightly confusing LIMIT FROM text next to the filters That part of the interface is still a work in progress for example you can use the steppers to choose a much later page but the page won t be updated until you press return or click the Filter button This is useful functionality to have but it d also be nice to actually page through the data with a single click keyboard shortcut kris March 9th
