of FES s Tansy or Cayenne Maybe it isn t simple laziness however Maybe it comes from a fear of failure Bach s Larch low self esteem FES Sunflower or from a paralyzing perfectionism Bach s Beech or Rock Water Maybe they ve been so down for so long that they ve given up in such cases Bach s Wild Rose for apathy has produced amazing results Likewise an ever present deadening fatigue may cover up a chronic underlying anger If the underlying anger surfaces the person who is self prescribing may not see the connection but only wonder why they are suddenly blowing their stack all the time An experienced practitioner however would be able to help pinpoint underlying issues and suggest remedies that would address them moving the healing process along to the next stage The rageaholic on the other hand may be using anger compulsively in order to avoid feeling fear or vulnerability Let us suppose that a chronically angry person is given remedies like Bach s Impatiens for impatience and irritability or Bach s Willow for those who are consumed with resentments and who enjoy nursing a grudge If anger is a comfort zone it may be quite overwhelming to suddenly be inundated with the anxiety that might lie beneath such patterns As it emerges the habitually angry person might be tempted to run to a doctor for a prescription for panic attacks Still an essence practitioner might suggest trying a dosage bottle of Bach s Aspen first before going on medication Aspen is for anxiety of unknown origin and fear of I know not what After taking Aspen the real cause of the anxiety may come to surface Perhaps the person is afraid of being vulnerable or even has an irrational fear of death As the exact nature of the fear is revealed the practitioner would suggest remedies to address that issue As you can see healing troublesome long standing patterns can mean layer after layer of causes to sort out and an experienced practitioner can help the person see the relationships between the layers Another remedy that often brings up a hidden layer is Bach s Clematis for the space cadets who go around in a mental haze much of the time I m always careful about suggesting it because it is often the case that they are spaced out for very good reasons having to do with a past trauma or some ongoing current situation They may be trying to avoid confronting a backlog of feelings about childhood wounding They may be living in a fog in order to cope with an unbearable but possibly karmic circumstance like Caring for a bedridden but tyrannical parent In short they may very well be spaced out as a coping mechanism and if it were taken away what would they have to replace it Thus before giving Clematis I inquire carefully about their support systems Not every person who fits the picture of Clematis is one

with Those exercises were designed to assist the reader to come into direct contact with his or her energy body perhaps for the first time They work In fact a comic note I mentioned to him at supper on Saturday night how brilliant I thought one of those exercises was and he could not remember having ever used it let alone written about it But I have used it over the years to introduce people to their energy body and the only two people for whom it didn t work were people who were determined that it could not work More fool me for trying to overcome prejudice with experience As an example of one of the exercises through which Robert led us he had us use one hand to brush the other hand from fingertips to wrist back and forth back and forth and then had us cease to do the actual brushing but remember and continue the sensation in the hand that had been brushed In other words he had us use the physical body as a link to the energetic body and then once we were in touch with the energetic body it became possible to directly manipulate it Then he had us do the equivalent with the feet and over the course of the weekend through the entire body An interesting feature of his work though is that there is not much point in trying to get people to experience certain things until one clears the way enough mental shrubbery to allow them to tentatively believe that it may be possible My words not his but I understood the logic and the necessity having found myself in the same position occasionally I used to say that Hampton Roads published books that gave people an excuse to believe what they already knew That is our society s materialistic and reductionist beliefs have crippled us somewhat in that many aspects of reality that are commonly experienced are nonetheless commonly denied because they are not quite respectable And speaking of not quite respectable Robert describes himself as a mystic Mystics seek oneness with God or in our squeamish society oneness with Source or oneness with All That Is or oneness with whatever word allows people to avoid using the word God that makes them uneasy because it reminds them of an old bearded man sitting on a cloud as though that had anything to do with spiritual or religious reality rather than with their own reaction against childhood training He had a cute way of demonstrating his point of view He said point to God and of course some of us pointed toward the ceiling for whatever reason but then he said point to wherever God is not and that made his point God is everywhere Now if you come to a workshop that claims to be about energy and you hear the speaker talking about God you may at first wonder if you have wandered into the wrong

in his place No one not in that place can know the reality of it You would do better to pray for him than to revile him Remember what you read of General Lee who prayed for his enemies including me every night That did not stop him from fighting with all his strength but he did not fight from hatred Yet the thought of General Lee is instructive as well in another regard His cause was wrong Doubly wrong in that it was integrally bound with a giant evil and in that it was founded on a bad theory that could not have maintained itself but would have wrecked itself in short order Is this not the case today Your people who of course are still my people yet very different from the people I knew very alien in beliefs habits thought values your people are dividing ever more cleanly on questions that boil down to love or fear your Course in Miracles duality Yet the Let me start again The people are dividing Looking at it as a choice between love and fear the division is cleaner within individuals but even there is not consistent How much more confused and confusing then to look at the external results of so many individual civil wars If there were not so much fear there would not be so much anger or fanaticism If less anger there would be less cheating in order to win at all costs If less cheating there would be more reliance on established procedures and traditions leading to less fear as the process reinforced itself You move toward fear or away continually There is no standing still Do you think it coincidence that the country is so evenly divided between incompatible visions It is the doing of providence rather This eliminates the possibility of a majority disregarding and squashing a minority there are only minorities in play neither set having a comfortable margin over the other The only way through it to transcend these differences They cannot be forever papered over and one will not prevail over the other without maiming the body politic If the nation cannot survive half slave and half free and it could not how less likely that it will survive half fearful and half love filled Fear will conquer all or love will Can it be any other way Saying that love will conquer all is not unrealistic or mystical or absolutist It is merely one way of saying that they who live in hope may spread their habit of thought their way of being so that it sets the tone for the entire country Or failing that fear will drag everything down to the level of control What doomed the south it might be said is that slavery assured that those who ran society would act always from fear The north on the other hand greatly hoped It had its machinery its trade its vigorous new settlements and except for

that lots of explanations were confidently put forth over the ages Then about 500 years ago came a Polish astronomer named Copernicus As everybody knows Copernicus published a book that overturned ancient assumptions by saying that the sun not the earth was the center of the solar system Once we could see the earth moved suddenly we could see the same data with new eyes The observed motion of the planets was the same The tables of motion still worked But now we could see that the only reason it looked like the planets were looping around was because the earth itself was moving Put the sun in the center where it belongs and everything clears up Where we had seen epicycles suddenly we see elliptical orbits The planets still move as they did in ancient times but now we know that they aren t doing what they look like they re doing Goodbye epicycles You were useful but now we know better The trouble is we re still drowning in epicycles of a different type Modern man is still inventing epicycles to make sense of data so that we don t have to change certain assumptions The materialist worldview misunderstands so many things that it is forced to create epicycles more or less continuously That alone goes to show that its time has passed Materialism started off about 500 years ago as a revolt against superstition But with time it has become entrenched and fossilized It has created and become trapped by superstitions of its own It has lost its ability to absorb new data and reinterpret its beliefs so as to help us make the world meaningful It has in fact become an obstacle to human spiritual growth When a worldview nears the end of its period of dominance and another has not yet come into focus the meaning of events and ideas are obscured and confused Its successor is created not by making minor adjustments but by reinterpreting what was thought to be known That means among other things that a new worldview will take seriously what had been thought by the older one to be superstition or ignorance or nonsense Therefore the inauguration of a new era may always appear to be a surrender to the forces of unreason or the enemies of faith That s what we are living through today at the end of the age of dominance of materialist thought Materialist oriented science has become an embedded superstition armed with the financial resources of the state a mirror image of the medieval papacy that it originally fought Religion has become dogmatic rather than instructional faith based rather than experience based And in seeking to create heaven on earth by political means we have come a lot closer to creating hell To take them in order The materialist view has at least three manifestations The most powerful is called science Science decides for the culture what is real or not But although its adherents

Which thing to say first How to make so complex a sentence that it will hold the various elements in relationship and yet still be readable This is why so much channeled material comes out in the pompous inflated language of the subconscious it is beyond the ability of the interpreter to both render faithfully and translate into more normal language It is one of your qualifications that you are good with language somewhat picky about it as a conveyor of meaning free enough concerning structure to allow yourself to do what is needed and above all determined to say it so that it may be understood Getting these qualities in a medium means forfeiting other valuable but contradictory qualities Hence specialization I can see that Oh That s why earlier you planted the seed in my mind about talking to Gene Roddenberry It will come best via an individual and hence one who had thought about it And I have been watching Star Trek movies including the making of stuff they include in the DVDs I ll give you this You guys are pretty clever All right I will be very pleased to talk to Gene Roddenberry about all this You understand Yes you don t need to say it What he will say here from his present perspective isn t necessarily what he would say if he were still here in a single life perspective Since I don t know anything about him except that he had the original Star Trek ideas or got them from Wesley Bateman if that is what happened I won t even worry about conforming story to perception Hopefully it will be easier but in any case we ll see Gene Roddenberry are you there Or here however we should look at it Like vibrational souls seem to be a group when viewed from a certain focus When viewed from a different focus the like vibrational teams will be partly or entirely different No one is only one thing To make that clearer a baseball team is seen from a baseball oriented focus The members of that same team will not necessarily sort out in any predictable way when considered from ownership of one brand of car or coverage by one kind of life insurance or they might be sorted by political belief or ideology or taste in art or in wine or in women A very simple concept here everybody has different handles different vibrational signatures that respond to different focuses So you experience me as part of a team that includes Franklin Roosevelt and Claude Bowers Is this because we are a natural team a sort of soul family Only in a given context Claude Bowers is not necessarily interested in science fiction or television or Abraham Lincoln So yes I am here for you in this context And I am here for others in different contexts And this is true for all What the lesson of the day is can be explained easier by reference to my own goals as a producer of television shows than abstractly as you have found I wanted to show real people facing real problems specifically I wanted to create a mirror in which we in the 20th century could see ourselves by contrast Well by contrast to what To mankind as it could be if shaped by a different society It could have been done by reference to a real or imagined past but to do it against an imagined received future offered greater leeway Everything was possible The seven deadly sins still existed they exist because people exist The infinite potential range of emotion skill values creativity existed because they exist in people manifested more or manifested less and in differing directions according to circumstance I am saying this Creating a future matrix in which to place the future man we created possibilities Start with a man a person yes but say a man He has our same innate range of possibilities plus the things his society makes possible and ours does not and minus the possibilities that ours makes possible and his does not So he is us as we would be in those circumstances And the viewer feeling that identity infers the effect of the society by seeing the motives the man has or does not have in any given set of circumstances also known as the plot How many times did viewers see and hear that the 23rd century does not use money Whenever they heard the statement it left a blank spot for it is impossible to imagine a society without money But it is not impossible to witness people whose actions are never motivated by fear of scarcity or the desire to amass a surplus In short it made no impression on the conscious mind but a relatively great impression cumulatively on the subconscious pattern imaging facility The means of transportation might be advanced transporters gravity defying cars spaceships and this was accepted as a commonplace The all powerful all connecting computers were accepted as magic like any other marvel The surroundings strange worlds spaceships hostile or curious or indifferent races were accepted with a shrug so to speak like horses in a horse opera What was different what was significant what was meaningful was the mental and emotional world of the captain and crew That and nothing else is what turned a three season show into a phenomenon that the fans kept alive They weren t attached to fist fights and transporters and dilithium crystals They were relating to the possibilities in themselves that they could see only mirrored in the crew Of course this doesn t mean they knew this at any level They knew only that Star Trek had become important to them and they wanted to get as close to it as they could emotionally So as I said start with the man Then work your way logically where is Spok when you need

and Vishnu etc in India Quetzalcoatl in Central America Ahura Mazda in Persia Vatea in Polynesia and Kwan Shai Yin in China all are forms of the Self found around the world Of Kwan Shai Yin Madame Blavatsky says He is the Self Manifested in short the Son of the Father Crowned with seven dragons above his statue there appears the inscription Pu tsi K ien ling the universal saviour of all living beings The Secret Doctrine 1888 The Dalai Lama is said to be one of his incarnations and the name Kwan Shai Yin means The Lord that is seen in one sense Divine Self seen by Self All of this applies equally to Christ to the Anthropos to the Son of Man and to all of the other God man Higher Self figures Just as Kwan Shai Yin is crowned with seven dragons so Christ has seven stars Horus Seven Lights Vishnu seven Rishis and so on But Christ is the form that has developed for many peoples of the world including we of the West In the dream I am unable to go on and break down sobbing which reflects my mental state at that particular time In my suffering the suffering Christ hears me and comes and performs the laying on of the hands As well as indicating healing this could also mean to confer blessings and grace Christ himself is bleeding in the dream which reminds us of how Christ sweats blood in Luke s Gospel 22 44 and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling to the ground This repeats Osiris Tesh Tesh the god who suffers in agony and bloody sweat in Egypt Because blood is red it is said that the red sun suffered his agony in the Underworld The Sun god Atum as the sun symbolically set in a red pool intimating blood and even the red scarlet or purple robe of Christ is connected with the blood caused by suffering Just as Christ is said to redeem the world by his bloody sweat so the alchemists believed the blood sweated from their Stone would produce a Redeemer Not Christ himself but his parallel hence the lapis Christ parallel Jung comments If the adept experiences his own Self the true man in his work then he encounters the analogy of the true man Christ in new and direct form and he recognises in the transformation in which he himself is involved a similarity to the Passion It is not an imitation of Christ but its exact opposite an assimilation of the Christ image to his own Self which is the true man And Nor does it originate in Christ s Passion It is the real experience of a man who has got involved in the compensatory contents of the unconscious by investigating the unknown seriously and to the point of self sacrifice Myst Con P 349 Hippolytus one of the Church Fathers who wrote on the Gnostic sects writes The Naassenes speak of a nature of man at once hidden and manifesting itself which they say is within man and is the kingdom of heaven that is sought after Against Heresies V 7 However I have not developed the higher Self as a Christ figure yet that occurs with the processes later and so who is the figure in my dream The original Christ the Holy Spirit just who I would now take the figure to be the Logos who for us is Christ Dream Two My father takes me to ancient Palestine where we wait by a roadside for a procession to come along which is being led by Christ Crowds of other people have gathered and are also waiting but we manage to get a place at the front where there are stone pillars along the road so many feet apart As Christ comes into view I wonder if he will notice me because of my sufferings but when he reaches where I am standing he becomes a golden cloud of light which then comes and envelopes me I have to cover my eyes with my hands because the cloud is so bright and radiant and an angelic choir sing from above Then Christ who has become human form again holds my hand and takes me flying through the air to the town which is just to the south of where I live Here from above we watch a Salvation Army procession as it marches through the streets and Christ seems to be showing me that I must bring salvation to this place The personal father in these processes represents the male line of spirit whereas the personal mother represents the soul line of the feminine depths This is why in older societies boys were taken from their mothers at puberty to be instructed in the spiritual mysteries not being allowed to see their mothers and sometimes all females for the time of the initiation period It is also why Jesus as a boy of twelve rejects his mother in the temple As with other dreams involving the Christ figure I must ask if this is the original Christ or the Holy Spirit or the Logos taking his form or is it what we now call the Higher Self as a Christ equivalent To St Teresa and other saints the figure they saw was simply Christ and they were blissfully untroubled by the questions that we must ask today Yet in trying to ascertain the truth perhaps we are in that sense lessening the mystery and its meaning Perhaps I should just accept the figure as Christ myself and not spoil the impact with too many questions However I must say the radiance of Christ is such that I have to cover my eyes and this makes me wonder more seriously if it actually is the original Christ who will have become an eternal form of the Son of God of the Logos in spirit

what Judas was in his inmost soul Is it possible that he did not sense every change in those around him as they moved day by day Is it possible that he did not see every nuance in any of the futures available How can a man like that be betrayed He wasn t surprised and he wasn t deceived And he wasn t a bad judge of character either So the melodrama is out It is not the case that Jesus picked a dozen men and one of them was a traitor For that matter it wasn t just a dozen and they weren t only men What scenario next then That it was a mystery play set up and enacted and someone had to play the bad guy Suppose that were true Would it in some way aid Jesus teachings to have him betrayed Suppose further that Jesus entire life was a mystery play which is a perfectly acceptable view If you step away from what you have been taught all these years is it likely that crucifixion was a necessary part of that story Jesus came to bring life that we might have life more abundantly He referred to God as his father Do you think it likely that he could think that God required a death by torture in order to bring humans into line And if he did not then in what way would crucifixion assist him to carry his message If you had never heard of the crucifixion would you think it a logical end to the career of a man who had superhuman abilities and perceptions Who came to bring access to life more abundant Who came to give people courage Well it is a fearful thing to go against history You can feel it in yourself arguing There must have been a crucifixion too many of the apostles died in similar ways and Christians in general over the next generations True and not true Jesus dying on the cross made a wonderful inspiration for those who suffer and are treated unjustly His betrayal by church authorities temple authorities to the Romans makes a good parable about the corruption of ecclesiastical organizations that have political power But the resurrection the Pentecost the change in the apostles all that in Acts Acts of the Apostles seems to you to cut directly across the idea of no crucifixion Maybe the crucifixion wasn t what it seemed and wasn t for the purpose it is understood to have been for Jesus didn t die Was drugged and recovered all that People have said that I don t believe it No If Jesus were to pretend to die what would that say about the integrity of the man who above all teachings preached integrity So no We would say this is an example of people trying anything rather than seeing what must break their belief system in this case that dead means dead Jesus was essentially superhuman

liberals mostly she assumed that religious institutions are automatically corrupt that missionaries are automatically bigots and that efforts to convert natives of other cultures were mere manifestations of racism But in this she as most people in our generation was the victim of ignorance fostered by leftist ideology and propagated by lack of historical memory For instance she had never heard of the slogan the evangelization of the world in this generation and when I quoted it had no idea what it meant or why it was adopted For that matter I expect that few people reading this column will have heard of it And yet if you haven t heard of the slogan I don t see how you can understand the people who were fired by it and I don t see how you can appreciate the very real sacrifices that two generations of missionaries made in an attempt as they saw it to follow Jesus directives and extend the opportunity of salvation to people who would otherwise never receive it Now the point is not whether we see things as those missionaries saw them We don t The point in my view is that if you want to understand the missionaries you have to be able to see their point of view if only temporarily If you cannot do that your condemnation is based only in prejudice In the late 1800s looking at the unprecedented opportunities of communication and physical movement that technology had opened some Christians in Europe and America asked themselves why they should not attempt to preach the gospel in all lands as they believed Jesus had directed both for the sake of those whom they would convert and for the sake of perhaps bringing the return of Jesus and the end of the wicked world so much the sooner There is nothing sordid or selfish or disreputable about such an ideal We in this post Christian era can see the damage often done to native societies by the coming of the missionaries and the Western imperial trappings that accompanied them It is easy however for us sometimes to forget that the missionaries brought with them education medicine and boundless goodwill For that matter imperialism brought technology infrastructure public sanitation and the suppression of independent tribal warfare It wasn t all bad But you might say this is ancient history What does it have to do with us This Those who cannot remember the past may or may not be condemned to repeat it but they are certainly incapable of profiting from its lessons We in the early years of the age of Aquarius have much to learn from the dominant mystic tradition of the age of Pisces The 2 000 years of Christianity demonstrate what it is like when a new way of understanding deals with the perennial spiritual realities underlying the world We are going to have to do just what the Christians had to do and it will be the easier
