  • Treacherous On Tour – Leg 3 - Treacherous Orchestra
    seem up for it Usual mayhem ensues everyone on there feet for the last number London nailed seriously hot on stage Ice box full of Heineken stubbies greets the band cold beer the very thing Band splits some back to the Hotel some stay to take London on Day off tomorrow Maximum recovery time what could possibly go wrong Day 7 After everyone s day off the tour bus heads for Shoreham by Sea Like London this is uncharted TO territory Adam at the wheel Ross on Navigation Special van guest Natalie Haran gets to sample life in the TO bus for a couple of hours Bet she s delighted Ali and Innes recreate scenes from the movies using an biscuit box some orange peel and a few oatcakes Back to the Future and Wickerman get the back of the van cinematic treatment Entertainment TO style We arrive in Shoreham nice little town by the seaside if only we had more time we d all be reaching for the bucket and spade Definite opportunity to bury some TO member in the sand missed Arrive at the venue great wee arts centre good gig space going to be fun Smoked Mackerel sandwiches ham and chutney focaccia and enough chips to sink a ship good feed but backstage now honking of vinegar So it comes to the last show of the tour A decent crowd in few older faces do some of these folk expect a real orchestra Slight change in set list tonight gig builds nicely interval quick refreshment perhaps a small end of tour perk up band takes to the stage for the second half Saturday night crowd definitely feeling up for it set climaxes with Sausages before the new encore no more cages Happy faces all round job done

    line and at last the Inverness audience are where we want them to be Hot and sweaty finale Back to dressing room rogue bottle of whisky appears good timing Band splits some out to local nightspot Hootananny is that Ali Hutton doing a Canadian Barn Dance Brings the curtain down on a long day Day 6 Mallaig and the wild west awaits All aboard pickup three at Fort Augustus and move on down the aptly named Great Glen epic landscape No hangovers today John Williams Dean Magraw album Raven on the stereo perfect soundtrack What lies in wait Entry to Mallaig big crowd in the Marine bar usual faces characters they are all here from Eigg Knoydart Glenelg Skye and beyond they cometh You haven t visited Mallaig properly until you ve been to the Marine Bar What better than get involved Guiness all round tunes firing out of the corner of the marine bar Éamonn Kev Innes locals high jinx Rest of the band head for food Langoustines scallops Oysters all cooked to perfection cheeky glass of Red getting warmed up for the gig now It s a late one tonight Everyone early to the gig to catch Mystery Juice epic groove laden set from the Edinburgh band atmosphere building crowd loving Joe Peat s chunky bass lines its warming On stage after midnight this is what its all about 250 west coasters in a village hall hot and sweaty atmosphere bubbling everyone is up for this one from the off Sea of Okhotsk lights the touch paper Bang Rapturous applause Off stage port is the drink of choice tonight much carry on to bed for some Day 7 The return home Really looking forward to this one First home gig since January Few weary faces among the Treacherous

    you possibly want on your birthday The Salutation bar in Perth was for the after party Great session with Ross Ali Éamonn and Paddy Keenan firing out the tunes Day two Its now 10 30am and Ross and Paddy are still in the bar not sure if sleep was on their agenda Ali is writing out the directions for Paddy to get to our next gig Eilean Donan Castle Dornie By Kyle of Lochalsh middle of nowhere 4 hour drive or 3 trains or 4 bus rides You never know he might just make it Van ride to Dornie usual hilarity emanating from the rear of the splitter bus most of it unsuitable for public consumption Best fish and chips ever culinary expert Ross Ainslie outside the Spean Bridge hotel Heading north Beautiful part of the world Steve s first trip to the wilds Ross has run out of Tobacco Dornie Hotel TO sectional pool competition gets under way Fiddle section come out on top despite overwhelming public support for Perth champ Ross Ainslie showing why he is number 258763 in the world Enthralling matchplay a late rally from the percussion section round of Port time for sound check Marquee gig right next to the legendary Eiliean Donan Castle see Marty s pic above Blowing a gale outside locals are really up for this one Great atmosphere Kevin Vincenzo Delamitri O Neill dancing a merry dance Robin Hood would surely have been impressed Sausages brings the house down the infamous Garry Porch of Avernish man of a thousand tales whips the crowd in to frenzy he does have a tune named after him Exit stage News of the Ryder cup victory hits the small and significantly oppressed contingent of TO golf fans we won t mention names Back to the
