scales held by the Goddess of Justice The balance point is the center of lift C L where the upward force of the wing is located The center of gravity C G is located ahead of the C L and it is trying to pull the nose down It has a short lever arm The horizontal stabilizer at the other end of the balance is trying to pull the tail down It has a long lever arm These forces must be in balance both vertically and rotationally in order for the aircraft to fly straight and level Before nose separation the gross weight of 574 000 lbs was pulling down at 1 3 ft 21 1 MAC ahead of the C L The nose down torque was 748 000 ft lbs The horizontal stabilizer was pulling down with a force of 6 800 lbs at 110 ft behind the C L The nose up torque was also 748 000 ft lbs The wing s upward force was 580 800 lbs Look what happened when the 79 394 lb nose was blown off After nose separation the C G of the remaining gross weight of 494 606 lbs shifted to a point 11 ft behind the C L 57 8 MAC Now instead of the gross weight producing a nose down torque of 748 000 lbs the gross weight was producing a nose up torque of 5 445 000 ft lbs The horizontal stabilizer was still producing a nose up torque of 746 000 ft lbs The combined nose up torque was 6 193 000 ft lbs That is an enormous amount of torque How long did it take for the aircraft to stall and fall out of the sky Using Boeing s Iyy of 15 780 000 slug ft 2 the nose up acceleration was 22 5 degrees sec 2 Using that acceleration it only took 1 5 seconds to pitch up to 25 degrees and the rate was still accelerating At 25 degrees the wing was essentially stalled How much could the aircraft have climbed in 1 5 seconds Assume generously that the wing with half of its center box structure blown away was still strong enough to pull 5 times the force of gravity In 1 5 seconds the aircraft might have climbed 180 feet and then it was in free fall The aircraft never even reached the top of the fireball The credible eyewitnesses saw the wreckage fall downward out of the fireball Boeing disavowed the climb scenario in a public statement issued the day the CIA cartoon was shown on national television Boeing was not involved in the production of the video shown today nor have we had the opportunity to obtain a copy or fully understand the data used to create it The video s explanation of the eyewitness observations can best be assessed by the eyewitnesses themselves The whole purpose of an accident investigation is to openly debate all of the evidence so that

of several thousand feet with the nose blown off My request was denied by Mr Campbell on the basis that Boeing would not authorize the release of data pertaining to that climb That is not a valid reason for denying my request The NTSB has already released the pertinent data from Boeing That data is already part of the public record and can no longer be considered proprietary I am not asking for any additional data from Boeing The Boeing data already released demonstrates conclusively that it was impossible for TWA 800 to climb several thousand feet with the nose blown off My understanding is that the NTSB conclusions about the climb are based on a computer program If that is correct then there is a mistake in the computer program or there was a mistake entering data into the computer program garbage in garbage out The method used to compute this climb was not revealed to the other parties to the accident investigation it was not revealed at the public hearing and it was not made a part of the written accident report so that independent parties like myself could analyze the method That is not an acceptable accident

district in which you reside or have your principal place of business or in the District of Columbia See 49 U S C 552 a 4 B Sincerely Daniel D Campbell Managing Director Permit me to explain my position I was quite surprised when midway in the TWA 800 accident investigation the CIA and the FBI aired a simulation on national television claiming that everything forward of the wing on TWA 800 was blown away and then the aircraft continued to fly and climb over three thousand feet My training and experience suggests that such a climb was impossible Nevertheless at the accident hearing the NTSB revealed its own simulation which with some modification repeated the CIA claim However the NTSB did not provide the data the calculations or the reasoning used to produce its simulation The NTSB produced its simulation in private without allowing participation or oversight by the other parties to the investigation Now that is not a fair and correct process for a public accident investigation The NTSB included a small table of Boeing data on its website Using that data I was able to calculate that TWA 800 stalled within one and a half seconds after losing its nose In that brief period the aircraft could not have climbed more than two hundred feet After the stall the aircraft was in free fall I have submitted these calculations to the NTSB and to everyone I know who was associated with the investigation So far no one has refuted the calculations Instead the NTSB hides behind the claim that Boeing will not allow them to release proprietary data The NTSB will not say who in Boeing is not allowing the release of data nor has the NTSB produced any document from Boeing directing the NTSB not to

midway in the investigation and it was televised nationally on a show hosted by the FBI Later the NTSB produced a similar video which was televised nationally at the accident public hearing These videos showed the nose exploding off of TWA 800 and then the aircraft continuing to fly and climb from 13 800 feet to 17 000 feet trailing flames The flaming climb is supposed to be the climbing streak seen by the eyewitnesses These videos were used to discredit the hundreds of eyewitnesses many of who saw the bright streak rising from the horizon not 13 800 feet Would you believe that not a single eyewitness was allowed to testify at the public hearing There is a major difficulty with the CIA NTSB zoom climb theory That climb wasn t physically possible Using the Boeing data published in the NTSB report the loss of the nose caused the center of gravity to move from its normal position ahead of the center of lift to about 11 feet behind the center of lift This created a huge nose up torque of about 6 million ft lbs That caused the aircraft to pitch up right through a full stall in one and a half seconds After that the aircraft was in free fall The most the aircraft could have climbed in one and a half seconds is about 200 feet The aircraft fell downward out of the explosion not upward This was substantiated by two eminently qualified pilots who saw the explosion and who know up from down I have been struggling to obtain the information used by the CIA and the NTSB to compute their climb After normal requests failed I made requests through the Freedom of Information Act The CIA responded that it had used data and conclusions

the NTSB and FBI have kept eyewitness testimony secret for nearly 3 years Cmdr Donaldson has access to 118 eyewitnesses on 18 boats and 30 locations ashore that surrounded the launch site of a missile He also produced physical evidence that proves the NTSB and FBI have been lying to the American public about their investigation While the NTSB was telling the public the trawling operation was designed to recover every last piece of the aircraft and all human remains the documents he submitted to the Aviation Subcommittee prove the operation was specifically designed to find and hide missile parts The Dredging was centered around the last radar return at a distance that was the suspected range of a Stinger missile Most of the area dredged did not have aircraft parts and most of the area containing the aircraft parts was not in the dredging area Donaldson s testimony is available in PDF format click here for FBI Trawling Manual or in text format Flight 800 Independent Researchers Organization FIRO Testimony by Tom Stalcup Chairman Mr Stalcup s request to testify in person was turned down but his remarks were introduced into the written record Aviation Subcommittee Hearing Agenda Subcommittee

a streak of light originate from the surface and end in the explosion of Flight 800 Therefore it was necessary to concoct a ridiculous scenario of the 747 climbing 3 000 feet after the nose came off the aircraft in order to discredit the eyewitness accounts The official theory explains that the eyewitnesses saw the 747 in various stages of crippled flight and as it rose it appeared as a streaking object before the large fuel air explosion that occurred shortly thereafter Of course anyone who has ever seen a 747 flying would hardly call it a streaking object especially as it decelerated in a climb Boeing certainly didn t agree with the video The radar data now proves that the eyewitnesses saw something that has yet to be satisfactorily explained and appears to support the missile theory Also presented was a larger view of the radar data which shows an additional 30 ships in the vicinity of the crash which have yet to be publicly identified by the NTSB or the FBI The FBI has admitted they were unable to identify the ship closest to the crash 2 7 nautical miles which sped away from the scene at 30 knots The location of this ship was the exact spot identified by numerous eyewitnesses as the origination of the streak which intersected with Flight 800 Rather than consider this a serious threat the FBI dismissed it as unimportant Two eyewitnesses gave their accounts press questions answers and much more The press briefing lasted for approximately 3 hours For an unofficial summary by Tom Shoemaker click here Video Coverage C Span coverage in RealPlayer format C Span may re broadcast the press briefing over the next few weeks so check the C Span listings from time to time Download RealPlayer G2
