Soon the lawyers were again called to the bench to confer amidst the scrambling white noise Again Stacey looked ahead seeming to see no one That s when the thought came that he looked like nothing so much as a character from Kafka who had become the vessel of guilt in an inexplicable absurd procedure Lee Taylor was the second government witness who prompted associations of being caught in a trap She told the court she had worked for T W A for the past 27 years and is currently for the last year and a half an Operations Supervisor at the airline Pitofsky questioned Taylor a slight dark haired woman with a voice so low one often had to strain to hear it Taylor had been a close friend in fact to Elizabeth Sanders who was a Flight Attendant Supervisor at T W A The two women worked at T W A headquarters in St Louis I saw her daily said Lee Taylor When Liz wasn t home with Jim in Williambsburg Virginia which was the couple s residence both women shared quarters at T W A in St Louis Taylor s residence was Kansas City Missouri She said she had first met James Sanders in April 1996 and through Liz Sanders had become friends with her husband as well She mentioned that when she needed to be taken to the hospital it was Jim Sanders who had taken her and she reiterated later in her testimony that the Sanders had been very good friends to her And yet she had signed an agreement with the government to testify at this trial and possibly say things that would help convict James and Elizabeth Sanders of the theft of the seat fabric from the Calverton Hangar When Sanders had the fabric analyzed in January 1997 and the results were consistent with missile fuel an article on March 10 1997 by David Hendrix of the Riverside Press Enterprise in California had featured Sanders findings Sometime later that month just before the publication of Sanders book The Downing of T W A Flight 800 the Sanders to avoid the F B I who wanted to question them stayed with Lee Taylor at her apartment in Kansas City After the Sanders left the F B I eventually questioned Taylor she was mentioned in the book s acknowledgments Fearful that she knew too much though she was not being charged with any crime she signed an immunity agreement with the government that she would testify at the Sanders trial She also turned over to the F B I a computer that the Sanders had left behind when they had moved from her place The F B I retrieved files from the computer illegally the court has disallowed this evidence from the trial She was asked if she knew the T W A personnel who had died on Flight 800 I knew everyone It was a time of funerals she said It seemed like the

but I was wasting my time he s a lawyer he explained His request for information not only revealed inadequacy in the official investigation it also pointed to efforts to derail the court case They jumped all over Maffeo Sanders attorney saying We re going to file motions to deny your access to discovery and everything else based on the fact that Donaldson has looked at some close up pictures of the left side body wall They just can t stand to see the truth in the light of day This is not rocket science Mostly it s common sense There are huge anomalies that have never been seen in a domestic crash before he explained James Hall director of the NTSB and head of the crash investigation told the New York Times shortly after the crash that the plane came down as the result of an explosion in the fuel tank located in the left wing Cmdr Donaldson wrote to him and asked him to resign It may have been overkill in the tactic category but it was based on essential premises of a safety investigation he explained to WorldNetDaily You don t have the leader of the investigation and the agency that runs the investigation making proclamations in a New York newspaper that it wasn t a missile and the cause was a center wing tank explosion when they only had about 80 percent of the airplane out of the water It was a theory they were going on that was totally contravened by very serious anomalies So here you have the leadership saying OK folks I m going to listen to anything you have to tell me about a center wing tank explosion but let s not waste our time looking for any other facts That s not the way these things work You re supposed to put your experts in the field and look at everything There s a process where you find things that are not in a normal crash situation and you highlight it complained the former naval crash investigator who has seen what military planes look like when they are shot down There are essentially three theories about the cause of the crash The NTSB has claimed it was an explosion of the center wing tank most likely from an electrical failure The FBI has accepted the theory of the wing tank explosion but they think the explosion was caused by a bomb Both agencies have not been willing to look at any evidence that does not specifically contribute to their particular theories according to Cmdr Donaldson He says the third theory the missile theory is getting no consideration from officials and anyone promoting the theory is being discredited The FBI agent in charge of the investigation James K Kallstrom had a friend who died on the flight and presented a flag found in the debris to the surviving family Cmdr Donaldson says that while the nation watched the presentation on national television

that the government not only lied when it stated that the red residue was seat glue more damning yet did so knowingly The government claimed that a lab test done by a NASA scientist Dr Charles Bassett proved that the residue was 3M seat glue On the basis of that one result the government maintained and maintains to this very day that the red residue was seat glue But during the discovery phase of the Sanders trial Dr Charles Bassett swore under oath that his tests did not link the red residue to seat glue More to the point the tests he was asked to perform for the NTSB could not have made such a determination Even more damning efforts by Bassett to coax the normally pale green 3M seat glue into assuming the reddish color of the residue all failed This is the other verdict in the trial of James Sanders The government lied when it said it had a lab test proving that the red residue was seat glue In fact now documented in a court of law what they had was a lab test which proved exactly the opposite In the trial of James Sanders regardless of the verdicts handed down by the jury it is the government that leaves the courtroom branded a liar It s official now The government is lying to the public about TWA 800 And not just about the red residue and bogus lab tests many other lies have been exposed including the initial denial of the status of the warning zones the presence of military vessels near the crash site the workability of the pingers on the flight recorders even the government s explanation for a suspicious line of flight recorder data has been proven to be a lie The claim that a noseless 747 can maintain stable flight and climb 1000 feet per the government s cover story is both aerodynamically and structurally impossible But the government s claim that a lab test proved that the red residue was seat glue is not only another in a long list of proven lies it s a lie which was exposed in a court of law Just think about what that really means to know for a fact proven in a court of law that the government is lying to the public about TWA 800 It means for one thing that the mainstream media which still parrots the claim that the red residue is seat glue is also lying yet another nail in the coffin of the mainstream media s credibility It means that the government is using your tax money to pay public relations firms intelligence operatives and media assets to lie to you Nowhere in the Constitution is the government given the right to lie to the public much less use the public s money to do so Most of all it means that the government s story that TWA 800 was brought down by a fuel tank explosion of

as we were at the time of the hearing that we understand basically what happened a fuel air explosion brought the airplane apart said Bernard Loeb the NTSB s director of aviation safety What we have been working on since the public hearing almost exclusively is trying to determine if we can identify the source of ignition Boeing spokesman Russ Young said yesterday that the company continues to support the investigation in terms of pursuing all of those possible theories It s our role to show them the safeguards we ve now built in to prevent such occurrences TWA spokeswoman Julia Bishop said the airline would not comment on what is still an ongoing investigation While a team of investigators still toils at the delicate clues of the wreckage testing at various laboratories around the country may soon put an end to the nearly 3 year old puzzle Cal Tech and Sandia National Laboratories are home to fuel testing and computer modeling programs that are re creating points of ignition that tell investigators how the flame traveled through to the tank Sources said they are particularly interested in a fuel bay in the rear of the center wing tank known as Bay 2 where a host of wires interconnect The fuel measuring system which runs from the cockpit to the fuel tank consists of hundreds of feet of wire connected to long aluminum probes The system carries a low current too small to cause an explosion But investigators have also found damaged wiring in the fuel system of the crashed plane and on inspections of three other 747s that may or may not have helped the spark travel through the tank Loeb said investigators are also pursuing other possibilities such as an external electromagnetic field that could have caused the

such as frayed wiring in and around the fuel tank Pennsylvania Republican Representative Don Sherwood questioned why it has taken the board so long to complete the investigation Among the TWA crash victims were 16 high school students and their five adult chaperones from Montoursville Pennsylvania a small community in Sherwood s district Hall defended the agency saying the investigation has already resulted in numerous safety recommendations Congress is currently considering legislation that would set funding levels for the independent safety board over the next three years The Clinton administration s request for the board which investigates accidents and makes safety recommendations for all modes of transportation includes 57 million in fiscal 2000 73 million in 2001 and 76 4 million in 2002 The increases in the latter years would enable the Board to hire 68 new full time employees bringing the number of individuals on the NTSB payroll to 402 Excessive Workload Hall got some support from Cynthia Lebow the Rand Corporation s Associate Director She told lawmakers that the NTSB s financial and staffing needs in the coming years are only likely to increase Rand is completing an audit of the NTSB s operations which is due later this year Research suggests that while there may be fewer major aviation accidents those that do occur will be far more complex presenting NTSB investigators with unprecedented analytical challenges Lebow said Lebow said aviation investigators at the board in particular who work an average of 52 hours a week and even longer during the immediate aftermath of airplane crashes operate under a continuing excessive workload The hours coupled with the current pay scale at the Board have made it difficult for the agency to attract experienced professionals from comparable positions in the private sector Lebow said Missile Theory Retired U
