  • 7 Awesome Movie Dinosaurs - Weird Worm
dinosaurs were really like so in effect we can t pass any sort of judgment on these representations Read on to indulge your dinosaur love 1 The Land Before Time This was the moment we all fell in love with dinosaurs Little Foot Petri Sarah Ducky Spike We cheered as these brave dinosaurs went on their quest to find the Great Valley reunite with their families and stave off extinction for as long as they could Okay so it s a good bet that these ancient lizards didn t actually speak English especially seeing as how the landmasses that form today s countries didn t even exist in their same form back then And you know people didn t exist back then But we think that the movie gives some great portrayals of what things like dinosaur battles could have been like The dinosaurs in this movie are clearly anthropomorphic but at the same time they do seem to still have a pretty good connection to their animal natures 2 Land of the Lost We think he might be having a bad fang day It s a good chance that we ll never get to see live dinosaurs in our lifetime but that doesn t stop moviemakers from playing with the space time continuum so that humans and dinosaurs could coexist to fulfill some sort of deep rooted fantasy Actually we don t know whose fantasy this is because having to run away from being eaten by frickin DINOSAURS doesn t sound like a whole lot of fun to us Especially since from what we ve learned in science class these creatures don t have particularly huge brains Eat seems to be about the only thing that s going on in there The funniest part is that filmmakers aren t content to just have people watch in wonder No it s necessary for the humans to go and do something like taunt Mr Tyrannosaurus Rex We generally don t like to make fun of things that can kill us quite so easily and if it was us we think we d be a little more careful 3 Jurassic Park The movie that made us never want to use an outhouse again This movie didn t just give us a look into what the world might be like if dinosaurs existed it actually made all of us believe that maybe just maybe our dreams of seeing dinosaurs in real life could come true We watched with breathless excitement as the scientists extracted dinosaur DNA from mosquitoes trapped in amber and cheered when the dinosaurs became able to mate even if it meant ultimate failure for the experiment and lots of gruesome dinosaur battles Steven Spielberg is a master of special effects and we love that he went to great lengths to make this movie visually beautiful We know that many people are huge fans of CGI but we prefer the old school animatronics that were used to make the robot dinosaurs

  • Popular Cartoon Characters…with Major Issues - Weird Worm
beloved cartoon characters who upon further inspection actually have some fairly major issues Yes we fully realize in many cases these bizarre characteristics help to define our favorites Sometimes such issues and disorders may even be the very reasons we dig such characters In any case the fact remains if any real person were to act the way these cartoons acted they d likely be vilified jailed or promptly tossed into a padded room That aside let s get to it and see if we can have some fun along the way Oh yeah try not to comically walk off a cliff while reading this in real life that hurts 5 WINNIE THE POOH Before we begin our discussion on the little red shirted bear Winnie the Pooh we should note something very interesting regarding all Pooh characters and their supposed psychological issues Oddly enough there have been many psychoanalytic studies on author A A Milne s beloved characters throughout the years Eeore is often predictably diagnosed with severe depression Rabbit with OCD and Christopher Robin apparently suffers from dissociative identity disorder which is often confused with schizophrenia For the purposes of this article we ll just be looking at some personal favorites Winnie the Pooh and Piglet too Tigger would take forever and a day to truly dissect To most folks who couldn t care less about psychoanalyzing fictional forest creatures Winnie the Pooh is simply known for his easy going optimistic demeanor and of course his love for honey it s a love apparently well worth multiple painful bee stings HARSH REALITY Perhaps Pooh Bear s fondness for honey is an understatement as it borders more along the lines of a severe and unhealthy eating disorder Some may even venture to say Pooh s adoration for the gooey sweetness is an addiction Pooh s unwavering need very often leads to altercations with Rabbit a fellow forest neighbor who is already manic and short fused recall the OCD mention from earlier Needless to say sensitivity is hardly Pooh s strong point In fact nothing on God s green earth could stop Pooh from grubbing honey off Rabbit whenever and however possible Clearly honey is Pooh Bear s crack Honey in its most potent form To illustrate our point please refer to the following disturbingly common chain of events from the episode Friend in Deed In this particular scene Pooh s nasty habit is as plain as ever The story opens with a frantic Rabbit literally boarding up his front door to keep Pooh from pilfering his honey for the millionth time Pooh however sneaks in through the unlocked back door much like any crafty addict seeking a fix Rabbit is shocked even though this has happened on numerous other occasions Pooh proceeds to hound Rabbit until of course the weary enabler gives in and hands it all over Alas Pooh stumbles off to shoot up we mean gobble down his precious honey Unfortunately we all know he ll be

Advertise with us Privacy policy Copyright Weird Worm All Rights reserved Developed and Designed by Dev Cypher Home Pop Culture Cartoons The 10 Most Egocentric Cartoon Characters October 08 2009 176 267 Pop Culture Image Sources Subscribe to our newsletter Cartoon characters are meant to be fun entertaining and sometimes teach us how not to act These characters have an ego on them the size of a freight train and they are not the least bit ashamed Get ready to relive some childhood fun with some of the most egotistical cartoon characters of all time 1 Scrappy Doo Scooby Doo This high energy pup first appeared in 1979 as a way to save Scooby Doo from cancellation He was seen as the nephew to the beloved Scooby Doo and by 1980 the entire series was redesigned around Scrappy Doo This little dog has an ego bigger than his uncle as he believes he can solve any crime and fight any monster single handedly You will rarely find a cartoon character so vehemently described as Scrappy Doo but hate him if you must this pup did keep the much beloved Scooby Doo on the air Perhaps he got his ego from knowing that Shaggy and Scooby Doo s jobs depended on him being the puppy that everyone loved to hate Link 2 Daffy Duck Looney Toons Duffy Duck is perhaps the original egomaniac of cartoons He always places himself first and would sell out his best friend if meant getting rich or saving his own skin His arrogance and greed often get him into trouble which in the end make him worse off than whoever he betrayed and yet this stubborn duck continues to believe that he is better than everyone else It is no wonder then that nearly every episode found some way of punishing Daffy and he still never got the hint Link 3 Johnny Bravo Johnny Bravo This twenty something mash up of James Dean and Elvis Presley has an ego that often gets him into large amounts of trouble Despite the fact that he has never had a successful relationship lives with his mother and spends most of his time being outsmarted by a little girl he still manages to think highly of himself This can actually be considered quite the accomplishment especially his die hard belief that every woman that beats him up wants him Link 4 Cobra Commander G I Joe The supreme leader of the terrorist organization Cobra Like most evil villians he has an ego but his ego trumps most others that you will find He would often lead assaults himself and then be the first to retreat if things ever went badly He would also work his troops almost to the point of mutiny and most of his plans failed because of his own arrogance His life revolved around a desire for power and he would allow nothing but himself to get in the way of his ambition Link 5 Lex Luthor
