and visualize point one Center your whole awareness at this point Imagine a sense of warmth and heaviness at this spot before moving on to the next point Step 3 Move Through Each Point in Sequence In the same way direct your awareness at each point up to point 31 on the torso having fully relaxed both arms Work slowly allowing your mind to completely train itself to each point individually and imagining the sense of warmth and heaviness before proceeding to the next one After a while you may find that your mind starts to wander Random thoughts and mind chatter may try to takeover proceedings and your job is to clear them away as swiftly as possible without engaging with any of them If you lose your place go back to the last numbered point or if you really go off on a tangent start over again This is no time for daydreaming This is about focused awareness and conscious relaxation Step 4 Extend Your Practice to All 61 Points Once you can move through the first 31 points in sequence extend your practice to cover all 61 points in the technique Your goal is to cover them all without losing focus By the time you achieve that you will feel deeply relaxed both in your mind and body and you will have lost awareness of the world beyond your body Indeed you will be highly focused internally and you may even find that hypnagogia and dream scenes start to emerge especially if you practice the technique when you wake up in the night or early morning Once you can perform the 61 point relaxation technique without losing focus you re ready to use it as a launch pad into wake induced lucid dreams Share email facebook tumblr twitter reddit google pinterest Your Gateway to Lucid Dreams Some people dream to sleep Others sleep to dream Start now About the author Rebecca Turner is the creator of World of Lucid Dreaming where she offers valuable first hand insights Learn more about Rebecca Take her home study program Connect with her on Facebook Twitter and the lucid dream forum Latest Extraordinary fantasy art by Jeremiah Morelli Jeremiah Morelli is a whimsical fantasy artist and visual storyteller He places conceptual fairytale creatures in vivid dreamscapes to capture the imagination He s also a school teacher and amazingly finds the time and motivation to create this huge gallery of artwork Such light and dark fairytale paintings make beautiful places to visit in your lucid dreams Latest 12 awesome Inception style dreamscapes Inspired and named for the notion of Flatland artist and photographer Aydin Buyuktas has created a series of works where a space of surprises creates a space that creates surprises Based on photos of Istanbul Buyuktas explains We live in places that most of the times don t draw our attention places that transform our memories places that the artist gives another dimension where the perceptions that generally crosses our

  • Wake Back To Bed: Lucid Dreams with WBTB
Bed technique with consistent results In fact I do it inadvertently most days I get up early to let our puppy out to pee and the act of getting up and moving around really wakes me up When I return to bed I practice the MILD technique This causes me to spend the next two hours phasing in and out of vivid dreams and quite easily leads to lucidity Remember though the longer you stay up the more your conscious brain will surface So the first time you try this stay up for at least 20 60 minutes An Easy Lucid Dreaming Technique If you really want to learn how to have lucid dreams the WBTB method isn t much hardship It can work even if you don t perform any visualizations or mediation although this will increase your chances of lucidity Note that if you normally only sleep for six hours reduce your sleep time even more say to four hours The idea is to temporarily delay your regular REM sleep When you fall asleep again you will dive straight into REM sleep an essential part of a normal sleep cycle So practice Wake Back To Bed whenever you get the chance especially if you don t have any time pressures at weekends and learn how to have lucid dreams in as little as a few days Share email facebook tumblr twitter reddit google pinterest Your Gateway to Lucid Dreams Some people dream to sleep Others sleep to dream Start now About the author Rebecca Turner is the creator of World of Lucid Dreaming where she offers valuable first hand insights Learn more about Rebecca Take her home study program Connect with her on Facebook Twitter and the lucid dream forum Latest Extraordinary fantasy art by Jeremiah Morelli Jeremiah Morelli is a whimsical fantasy artist and visual storyteller He places conceptual fairytale creatures in vivid dreamscapes to capture the imagination He s also a school teacher and amazingly finds the time and motivation to create this huge gallery of artwork Such light and dark fairytale paintings make beautiful places to visit in your lucid dreams Latest 12 awesome Inception style dreamscapes Inspired and named for the notion of Flatland artist and photographer Aydin Buyuktas has created a series of works where a space of surprises creates a space that creates surprises Based on photos of Istanbul Buyuktas explains We live in places that most of the times don t draw our attention places that transform our memories places that the artist gives another dimension where the perceptions that generally crosses our minds will be demolished and new ones will arise These works aim to leave the viewer alone with a surprising visuality ironic as well as a multidimensional romantic point of view Latest 10 essential oils to boost lucid dreaming One summer the 19th century lucid dream researcher Marquis d Hervey de Saint Deny took a bottle of an unfamiliar scent on his travels to France He whiffed his

  • Why You've Been Doing Reality Checks Completely Wrong
that brings strong lucidity There is no more doubt when you have just pushed your fingers through your hand Though it is always good to perform the check twice Now you are free to do whatever you set out to do when you become lucid The Practice You should attempt to perform the Palm Push reality check 10x a day You can perform it every hour on the hour during your day However the best way to perform these reality checks is by combining them with your prospective memory test When you see the item s you ve chosen for the day you perform the reality check If your fingers go through your hand then you are dreaming If they don t then you are in waking life Why is it important to do this 10x a day during waking hours Because anything you do consistently during the day will inevitably show up in your dreams Your dreams are filled greatly with the subconscious impressions from your day By doing many reality checks during the day we use this principle to send in a Trojan horse of consciousness into our dreams When the horse gets through the gate and into our dreams our awareness can sneak out and take action inside the dream world Proper Way to do Reality Checks With the thousands of people I ve helped with lucid dreaming one of the most common issues I see is how people perform reality checks Imagine you are walking down the street and see the item you ve chosen for your prospective memory test You remember that when you see a dog you are supposed to do a reality check so you take your two fingers and bang them against your palm Nothing happens so you move on completely unaffected by what just occurred What s wrong with this picture Reality checks have two purposes To send a Trojan horses of consciousness into our dreams to be unlocked To bring us into a certain state of mind Specifically an investigative mindset A state of doubt A state of true wonder about which realm we are actually in at the time We always think we know what is going on in our lives all the time This is exactly what causes us to be zombies in our sleep Think about it How many times in just the last week have you been in your car bike or on a walk and found yourself at your destination or at least had a stretch you don t quite remember I m here to tell you that you hardly ever really know whether you are awake or asleep I m also here to help you change that The reason we are not conscious in our dreams is that we believe ourselves to be awake Remember what was said just earlier Whatever we do consistently during the day will arise in our dreams That means if we walk around all day with an air of

  • What is The Best Sleep Posture for Lucid Dreaming?
in bed with no lapse in consciousness WILDs are the most vivid kind of lucid dreams They allow you to choose your lucid landscape as you fall asleep consciously and recall your lucid dream intention This is a different kettle of fish and I think finding the best sleep posture for lucid dreaming matters much more in this instance My success with WILDs is universally down to lying on my back despite the fact that this is not how I prefer to fall asleep I find it the best posture to dissociate from my body forget it exists and stop feeling it as sleep paralysis tales over without my mind falling asleep In essence the perfect formula for a WILD Some lucid dreamers say back sleeping isn t necessary for WILDs but since I started out practicing Robert Monroe s OBE induction techniques I just find it the easiest way to relax every muscle group Nowadays I more often use the 61 point relaxation technique which relies on the same corpse pose I also think this position creates a shallower breathing pattern which keeps you closer to consciousness as you sleep This is the preferred method of Nick Newport of Lucidology too Nick is a proponent of WILDs and teaches how to systematically relax your body including areas you may never consider like the incredibly strong jaw muscles to create a deep physical relaxation Once you have done this it may only be a matter of seconds until you can emerge mentally into the lucid dream world Share email facebook tumblr twitter reddit google pinterest Your Gateway to Lucid Dreams Some people dream to sleep Others sleep to dream Start now About the author Rebecca Turner is the creator of World of Lucid Dreaming where she offers valuable first hand insights Learn more about Rebecca Take her home study program Connect with her on Facebook Twitter and the lucid dream forum Latest Extraordinary fantasy art by Jeremiah Morelli Jeremiah Morelli is a whimsical fantasy artist and visual storyteller He places conceptual fairytale creatures in vivid dreamscapes to capture the imagination He s also a school teacher and amazingly finds the time and motivation to create this huge gallery of artwork Such light and dark fairytale paintings make beautiful places to visit in your lucid dreams Latest 12 awesome Inception style dreamscapes Inspired and named for the notion of Flatland artist and photographer Aydin Buyuktas has created a series of works where a space of surprises creates a space that creates surprises Based on photos of Istanbul Buyuktas explains We live in places that most of the times don t draw our attention places that transform our memories places that the artist gives another dimension where the perceptions that generally crosses our minds will be demolished and new ones will arise These works aim to leave the viewer alone with a surprising visuality ironic as well as a multidimensional romantic point of view Latest 10 essential oils to boost lucid dreaming

  • 5 Ways to Become Lucid in Dreams
my conscious self awareness into action and I became lucid You are dreaming Said the butterfly 3 Dream Themes Another way to become lucid in dreams is called dream incubation Plan your dreams in advance by meditating and visualizing dream themes such as a zombie apocalypse a giant waterslide or tea with Richard Dawkins At the same time think I will lucid dream tonight Sometimes you ll find you start dreaming about the same theme you had in mind before going to sleep This is exactly how horror movies beget nightmares Your waking experiences and day dreams make such an impression that they reappear in your dreams the same night Because you ve attached this theme with becoming lucid it s a lot easier to trigger spontaneous in dream lucidity Having studied an entire set of movie credits one night I then dreamed of being in a movie theatre And as the credits rolled up I saw a string of incomprehensible letters like this YCTUDKIL Then something clicked in my mind The letters reassembled themselves into a word I could read LUCID BAM My lucid dream began Sometimes it s like your dream really wants you to become lucid 4 Reality Checks This approach is great for your first lucid dream and is widely seen as one of the easiest lucid dreaming techniques Reality checks program greater awareness into your dreams through repetition thereby creating habitual lucidity A reality check simply means trying to do something impossible in the real world like pushing your fingers through your hand When you do this during the day of course nothing exceptional will happen Eventually this practice will filter into your dreams In the bizarre dream world your fingers will slip through the your hand especially if you expect it to happen giving you the opportunity to become lucid Your reality check should always follow with Am I dreaming This cements the mindset and your goal of apprehending the dream A reality check is a waking practice designed to filter into your dreams through force of habit It could more appropriately be called a dream check 5 Wake Induced Lucid Dreams The more you enhance your meditation and self awareness skills the easier it is to have your first Wake Induced Lucid Dream WILD Unlike the methods described above with WILDs you can walk your waking conscious mind directly into a sleeping lucid dream state It s not unheard of for adult lucid dreamers to have developed their own version of the WILD technique as children It becomes second nature and they become lucid in dreams of fantastical nature every night However it doesn t come naturally to everyone and achieving your first WILD can be difficult at first Ultimately it s a matter of practice and patience This is a lengthy one to describe even if the process itself can occur in as little as 20 seconds See my Wake Induced Lucid Dreams tutorial to become lucid in dreams from a waking
