Su 12 13 15 I began a system of uulation to help me break into non lucid dreams When awake as soon as I have the first inkling to urinate I ll take the syllable na and repeat it many times I ll repeat nanana and keep it up until I get to a bathroom I hope that when I have my next toilet dream and I have many I ll hear the nananas in my head and I ll be alerted that I m in a dream Last night I tried it as a mantra to get to sleep but I had the wrong syllable I did lalalas instead of nananas I realized this morning that I was on the wrong syllable I like Nas You can do them out loud do them with your mouth closed and you can do them silently mentally If someone hears you na na ing whilst you re doing it you can simply start to sing something This is how I learn stuff bob syr Posts 7 Joined 16 Jun 2015 20 55 Top Post a reply 1 post Page 1 of 1 Return to Lucid Dreaming Techniques Jump to Select a forum

dreaming Basically just following the many MILD techniques as described The problem I have is after an hour of this I kind of want to go back to sleep but although I am incredibly tired I don t feel like I am nearing sleep so I typically give up roll over and try to sleep normally I know most people think the longer the better because your intention to remember will be firmer but an hour seems like a long time doesn t it Anyway for the question Is this normal If so not how can I improve this Ayaleon Posts 10 Joined 29 Jan 2015 10 55 Top Re MILD question by Salman Khan 10 Dec 2015 10 14 Hi You are actually mixing MILD and WILD technique MILD does not expect you to follow stop drop and roll technique Once you have repeated the mantra just sleep in a normal way If you are lucky while dreaming you will realize that you are dreaming So after WBTB just relax for sometime repeat your mantra few times and goto sleep as in normal way That should do it Let me tell you MILD mantras are more effective if you keep repeating during the day also instead of just on WBTB Hope it helps Salman Khan Posts 6 Joined 03 Nov 2015 10 17 Top Re MILD question by Ayaleon 11 Dec 2015 01 00 Thanks Salman I had almost given up hope of a response but you have come through That does make sense I was reading Exploring the world of lucid dreaming by Stephen LaBerge and under his MILD technique he says that your intention should be the last thing you think of before sleeping I may have taken that too literally so I will take your advice

like I know all the songs and everything about them They ve also saved my life multiple times so I always thought it was weird that they never made an appearance in my dreams until a few nights ago So we went into Reading Festival which looked nothing like it does in real life and Fall Out Boy were playing Apparently Andy and Joe were sick so it was just Pete and Patrick I remember they were doing this weird performance about creatures of the night on stage and they played America s Suitehearts and another song which I don t remember I remember it was one of their bigger hits So I was moshing and having a good time when my friend B calls them sell outs so I get angry and then she insults their stage presence I remember her saying they sucked at the Black Clouds and Underdogs tour FOB s 2005 tour you took me to and they suck here Now this is where it gets weird a few nights ago I had a dream where I took this friend to see a BCs and UDs concert in a basement I barely remember the dream except I remember the exact set list So in the dream last night I had a flashback to this and I defended them by saying Well they performed I ve got a dark alley there and that song is about Pete s suicide attempt so they must ve been emotional Then I start to think wait but FOB said they d never play that live because it s too personal Come to think of it they didn t play Sugar We re Going Down or any of the most popular songs from From Under The Cork Tree at that concert which is really weird And why would they do another BCs and UDs tour 10 years later I must be dreaming Since my knowledge of this band is so strong I didn t even bother to reality check and ran onto stage to be with DC FOB but Linkin Park were on stage instead and I slipped out of lucidity and started to cry then woke up I like Linkin Park but I really wanted to meet dream FOB so I cried Anyway I just thought it was interesting how I used my conscious knowledge about something I love so much to achieve lucidity and if my favourite bands appear in dreams again I ll have to try this again edgydreamer Posts 7 Joined 21 Mar 2015 22 04 Top Re I used my obsession with Fall Out Boy to become lucid by ImmortalPhoenix 13 Sep 2015 05 06 Ha That must have been quite an experience I have often wondered why some of my obsessions haven t made it into my dreams Maybe I m so obsessed that my mind just overlooks it lol Also fob is my guilty pleasure Hope to see them live at some point in my

by ILFlint 04 Oct 2015 19 34 I may not have understood your post entirely but the description you gave is not a WILD It s a MILD If you are truly WILDing your mind never falls asleep just your body because you enter the dream state fully conscious It s the whole point of WILDing other than the spontaneity I m glad the mantra you used worked but if you lost consciousness and fell into a dream then MILDing you were Excellent But don t confuse the techniques Also for WILDing all you have to do is lie still and observe your body as it falls asleep while keeping your mind focused on something that maintains your awareness It s actually a more passive technique than almost any other People get confused thinking it is something they have to work hard to accomplish that they must force to happen It s the opposite actually It s what you don t do that matters To be good at WILDing you have to learn to be a good conscious observer not actor Just tell your body to go to sleep and sit or lie back and watch Believe it or not your body will listen to you just talk to it softly hypnotically almost And be patient Yes hard hard hard this being patient business Also too many people don t understand how useful self talk is in communicating with your self When WILDing or using any technique actually just make sure you start out in a comfortable position and your body will relax and fall asleep on command if you allow it When I say on command I don t mean that you give it an order and suddenly your body falls out from under you dead asleep There is a time element involved but less and less the more experienced you get Emphasis on allow My opinion is based on my experience and should not be confused with sharing definitive instructions that must be followed or else Like anyone s opinion apply it only if it makes sense to you ILFlint Posts 13 Joined 29 Dec 2014 01 41 Top Re I had to change how I do WILD by ILFlint 04 Oct 2015 19 44 I should probably clarify a point in my post above You are awake mentally as your body falls asleep This allows the dream to form while you are conscious You have one of two perspectives to take at this point Are you allowing your mind to enter the consequent dream and thus by definition falling asleep at that late point in the process Or more in line with the OBE perspective are you still actually awake and conscious just functioning in non physical reality I ll leave that for you to decide It is a subjective understanding and thus can not be objectively stated as fact from either perspective Hopefully that confused you even more ILFlint Posts 13 Joined 29 Dec 2014 01 41 Top Re I had to change how I do WILD by taniaaust1 07 Oct 2015 02 56 ILFlint wrote I may not have understood your post entirely but the its when one triggers off a LD and is able to go straight into it usually without a break in the waking consciousness There are many different WILD techniques some with other names I cant think right now what MILD is Some are extremely passive they aren t all passive though as there are some active WILD techniques eg FILD which I d classify as an active form of WILD as it involves moving a finger while falling asleep to trigger off a WILD falling asleep doesn t mean at all falling into unawareness When I said fall asleep in my post I do not at all mean go to sleep without any awareness I m refering to being passive and just letting go enough for a WILD to be able to happen and allowing one to head more towards a sleep state but with still thoughts of LD but not active thinking but the intent that this very act of allowing sleep will cause a LD that can cause a non loss of consciousness from awake straight into conscious dream is a WILD this letting go WILD technique is a good one right after other WILD techniques which have failed as the other techniques usually fail due to someone not relaxing enough mentally When WILDing or using any technique actually just make sure you start out in a comfortable position and your body will relax and fall asleep on command if you allow it When I say on command I don t mean that you give it an order and suddenly your body falls out issue I have is Focus I have severe ADD and it seems to even affect me when I go lucid in my dreams Once I am lucid I begin rubbing my hands together doing some simple math and trying to focus in on one object Then I demand more clarity and try to remember to keep telling myself I am dreaming Once I try to start changing things I lose focus and begin to drift off back to normal dream state Also my lucid dreams are still not very clear or vivid does that boil down to focus as well What are some other techniques I can do to try to improve my focus If I improve my focus will things look more realistic As for now when Im lucid and try to change my dream it looks hysterical and distorted and almost disturbing I already take the dream leaf supplement which is suppose to help with vividness and dream clarity Can someone with ADD learn the proper focus to truly enjoy a lucid dream Fouad Faraj Posts 10 Joined 05 Nov 2015 18 22 Top Previous Display posts from previous All posts 1 day 7 days 2 weeks 1
