create entire scenes i e create the roads lights grass tree s etc quote No not at all your lucid dreams are quite capable of manifesting other scenes You shouldn t have to even will a scene in a LD You actually do have a scene but its choosing to be empty What is happening here is you are manifesting this blankness either by normal waking mind thoughts eg if you think and believe you lack imagination this could do it if this is the case you need to get through to yourself that you don t need to have any imagination at all for your subconsciousness to create the dream scenes or its a way you are subconsciously expressing something The clue with what is going on here appears to be the fact you were in the back of a car at the start of both these dreams That subconsciously expresses that you aren t in the drivers seat so aren t in control of something in your life So with these two dreams you get a clash between you becoming conscious in these dreams so wanting the dreams to go in certain ways eg you want a good scene but they want to just express that you have no control they wont allow things to go right for you They want to continue on with the you are in the backseat kind of expression no control one could say Your wish is to hop out of the car and into the scene but your subconciousness which is choosing to express that you don t have control is thawting your plans Its like I cant fly in my dreams as flying symbolises freedom and life going well and my life is completely crap bogged down with major problems I struggle to change that subconsciousness expression so cant fly unless I use an aid in my dream So you either need to have your own will power over ride what your subconsciousness is wanting to express and will keep trying to express in all kinds of ways in your dream you are likely to have lots of things go wrong in dreams in which you were in the back seat or you have to convince the subconsciousness otherwise or make it forget what its trying to currently express I don t know if this would help or not but maybe try this IF you find yourself in the backseat again if its a common dream symbol of yours you probably will find yourself in this situation again Try climbing over the seat and hopping into the drivers seat and starting up the car to signal to the subconsciousness that YOU ARE IN CONTROL and you are taking over some of this dream You CAN get out of the car and into a proper scene Try getting out of the car from the drivers seat to see if this changes things Also when you get out of the car also EXPECT

don t give up its worth the effort My first two tips Altitude was my first hurdle to overcome I would jump off a balcony and float to the ground Very fun but I wanted more I began to focus on what I would SEE if flew I began with simple landscapes of trees to fly over I choose trees since I am very aware of what trees look like from all angles found it easy to see the landscape beneath me if I flew over something simple I could imagine Flying over trees worked great as I could increase the distance from the trees and then began to fly higher and higher in every LD since then I often will fly back down into trees to really get the feel of distance then fly upwards again Flying UP THEN DOWN helps me greatly Other handy landscapes to tap into are what you have seen in the past such as flying in an airplane a view from a tall building or even go online look at a lot of aerial photography Speed was my second hurdle I think the key to speed is SOUND the feel of WIND I then created a list of memories of speed and sound that would be useful Next time you are driving stick your head out the window take note of the feel of the wind rushing by your face The sound of 65 mph wind hitting your ears USE THE MEMORY when flying in your LD Two years ago I went on a roller coaster and observed the feeling of vertigo the sounds the way thing flew by me quickly I tap into these types of memories when LD flying Use low noise low wind for slow flight and increase with fast flight So to summarize work on what you see when you gain height and what you body would feel when flying at different speeds Ponchot Posts 2 Joined 01 Feb 2015 05 04 Top Re Flying Stuck At a Certain Altitude by buildit 10 Feb 2015 18 07 Two possibilities from my experiences 1 dream control is not high enough Work on focus and self awareness of what you are doing 2 you may be trying to rationalize what is happening and there by limiting yourself to a certain safe height You might over come this by either practicing over water to make it seem safer or use artificial means to gain more height Jet pack or jumping out of a plane come to mind Is Lucid Dreaming the brains preparation for the next step of human evolution when we can escape the corporeal bond of our bodies buildit Posts 491 Joined 23 Sep 2014 04 14 Location USA Top Re Flying Stuck At a Certain Altitude by Je Je 20 Feb 2015 13 33 Wisconsinite89 wrote Whenever I have a LD my first impulse is to fly even if I have another goal set However I ve had a persistent

that can t lower its temperature So an inability to reach a certain altitude is not the issue but rather a worry of going TOO HIGH The other flying dream again hasn t happened in years is me ESCAPING a danger pursuit or situation I want to get out of Dodge and so mentally propel myself upward many miles in a single second where I am in orbit essentially beyond which notions of too high have no meaning since you are then in outer space Maybe you should try dreaming of being in space doing space walks or just floating freely among the stars Then the issue if you find earth is how to COME DOWN and LAND with a proper re entry astrovineyard Posts 141 Joined 29 Jan 2015 04 49 Top Re Flying Stuck At a Certain Altitude by papamidnight32 17 Apr 2015 04 08 I m 15 and I ve been lucid dreaming every night I think for a couple years now and I m always able to fly it s just I can t control my dream enough to make myself go higher an sometimes if I m goin in a direction I can t control myself to go where I want sometimes can anyone help me with that Post made via iPhone papamidnight32 Posts 5 Joined 17 Apr 2015 03 57 Top Re Flying Stuck At a Certain Altitude by Martina 27 Apr 2015 19 20 papamidnight32 wrote I m 15 and I ve been lucid dreaming every night I think for a couple years now and I m always able to fly it s just I can t control my dream enough to make myself go higher an sometimes if I m goin in a direction I can t control myself to go where

As I race along I begin to dip down and make contact with the ground I ll touch down and push off and gradually bounce along slowly increasing the frequency of contact with the ground like a stone skipping across the water Before long I find myself running Then I keep running until things are stable enough to stop I ve found its a good idea to pick up something along the way I can start swinging around if things are still unstable when I stop running Preferably something with some heft which will generate momentum This article lends some support to the benefits of using momentum By forcing a sense of movement you activate the parts of the brain mentioned in this article http www dailymail co uk sciencetech article 2575550 The woman leave body Student sheds light strange brain activity involved body experiences html ixzz3SJhWMa1z The Cusp Posts 19 Joined 22 Mar 2015 14 37 Top Re Harnessing Momentum for Stability by jimmyjames 18 Apr 2015 07 05 This is really interesting I m gonna try it tonight jimmyjames Posts 35 Joined 15 Mar 2015 07 38 Top Re Harnessing Momentum for Stability by son of shennong 20 Apr 2015 23 27 Thanks for posting the link Time is but the stream I go a fishing in Thoreau son of shennong Posts 47 Joined 07 Apr 2015 16 44 Top Re Harnessing Momentum for Stability by son of shennong 20 Apr 2015 23 35 The Cusp wrote In my opinion the absolute best way to stabilize a dream for anyone no matter what their beliefs or paradigm is to use the power of momentum Any sort of brisk movement will generate a feeling of momentum This article lends some support to the benefits of using momentum By forcing

my mood greatly Normally I d dismiss having periods of no dreams but it s increasingly frustrating when I know the dreams were good and I only remember pieces Also the other night I woke up at around 4am and tried the WBTB method This worked to my delight and I even managed to stay calm once in the dream which is new to me since mostly I get excited and wake myself up However once in the dream all I saw were end credits and I tried to manipulate the dreamscape but failed I knew I was lucid but I couldn t control anything I just watched the credits for 20 minutes to an hour before waking up disappointed Why did this happen And how do I start dreaming properly again Post made via iPhone edgydreamer Posts 7 Joined 21 Mar 2015 22 04 Top Re Dreaming dysfunction by taniaaust1 24 Mar 2015 16 39 This worked to my delight and I even managed to stay calm once in the dream which is new to me since mostly I get excited and wake myself up However once in the dream all I saw were end credits and I tried to manipulate the dreamscape but failed I knew I was lucid but I couldn t control anything I assume though you could move yourself If you need to change a whole dream try spinning that should remove the dream you are currently in and allow another to take its place Before you spin though I suggest to rub your hands together rapidly to make sure you are stable first The only thing to fear is the fear itself taniaaust1 Posts 2912 Joined 07 Feb 2013 15 32 Location Adelaide South Australia Top Re Dreaming dysfunction by edgydreamer 24 Mar 2015
