was probably too early for me to start trying to manipulate elements So I figured I d just go with it So I m like Dude wake up You gotta be in surgery So on so forth So he gets up and I follow him down the hall when I realize ohsht It s still dark I gotta fix this So I try to will the bright hospital esque lights to come on No dice I try again LIGHTS Still nothing So I get freaked out A dark hospital I have no control over is a lucid nightmare waiting to happen I wake myself up So the point is this How am I supposed to bring light into a dark LD Of course I could try to summon a light switch to make it more believable to my brain But HAH JOKE S ON ME Light switches are so notorious for not working in dreams people use them as a common reality check So I might as well not even bother with that What do I do if this happens again Is turning on a damn light in a LD as difficult a summoning a specific looking DC How do we manipulate the bad stuff out of our LDs Allyk47 Posts 20 Joined 09 Mar 2015 20 37 Top Re Trouble manipulating the dreamscape by taniaaust1 10 Mar 2015 14 13 Dark hospitals creep me out too I don t know why but there is something creepy about that You probably should of tried the light switch after you found you couldn t just will it on but held the thought it would turn on As one never knows it may of if you tried that or many of us use gestures to help focus the intent to have a light go on eg I don t just order light on I do a big click with my fingers at the same time thinking it will come on with the click Other times I just point to it and ordered it on I cant imagine myself putting a light on without some kind of hand gesture or you could of yelled nurse we need a candle and just think of one walking in from next room bringing light with her Though I guess that kind of would of been creepy doing surgery under candle light or you could of got even more creative and thought about it being a power failure situation and phoned to get electricity put back on or called a nurse to go and put the generator on Better luck next time with that Is turning on a damn light in a LD as difficult a summoning a specific looking DC How do we manipulate the bad stuff out of our LDs I ve never had trouble getting a light on and I haven t had trouble summoning DCs other then a dream guide who wont show up I cant fly I crash and hurt myself or

hands eg more fingers or putting a finger throu the hand doing reality checking with clocks or by pinching nose and trying to breath are all good reality checks for beginners to try There is good reason why so many do these so many people arent all doing these due to a lack of creativity I was able to change the scenery and make an ocean appear and swim in it but the ocean seemed really fake and kind of crude Also i have been able to summon people and things but they are never exactly what i want They are also crude and they just look off in general I assume over time and with practice this will change but if you or anyone else has advise for this kind of thing i would really appreciate it No matter how experienced someone gets they arent going to manifest everything into the dream exactly how their waking minds want it A dream is a combination of both the subconciousness and the conscious and without this you d be not asleep and be fully awake A dream without the subconsciousness creations would be rather boring too If things are looking fake its probably due to the thinking you are holding during the dreaming eg focused on this is a dream Of cause this thought is extremely helpful to stay lucid but too much focus on this isnt real as its a dream could only cause a fake looking experiences My LD experiences are very vivid and intense except I can have some issues with DCs appearing not so realish as Im far too aware they are my DCs I think my LD experience overall is very vivid and intense possibly because Im not at all trying to hold the thought at all that Im dreaming and usualy have no fear of slipping into an unconscious dream as I know its unlikely to happen to me I have enough experience to tell when that is going to be an issue I wonder if you are worrying you may lose your LD out of loosing awareness and that could have you more focused on this is only a dream this isnt real hence then dreams not being so intense vivid My biggest concern is usually of waking up Anyway I think you are doing great there so far in your dream control for a begginner eg creating an ocean behind you The only thing to fear is the fear itself taniaaust1 Posts 2912 Joined 07 Feb 2013 15 32 Location Adelaide South Australia Top Re First Official Lucid Dream by taniaaust1 21 Feb 2015 02 34 I just had a second thought on your post this is just a theory as I arent completely sure its right or not I d think that if one is too in control of a dream not refering to controling oneself but with all around oneself in the dream that it could cause it to become more
